Hi,

Anybody has any recommendations for romance novels with BDSM scenes?

The only one I know is by Catherine Coulter, the book Night Fire. Looking for more novels like that.

I've come across a few scenes in books by Christine Feehan... never too many and it is light vs. heavy, but you can tell she has an interest in it as many of her characters get spankings or threats of them.  :)  She has a few different series and I've seen it in all of them.

I love novels by Shayla Black. One of my all-time favorites is "Wicked Ties."

I wouldn't call it "romance," exactly, but it isn't just porn, either. This one has a very good plot, and some very, very steamy sex scenes. Whew! :::fanning self:::

BDSM Romance is rather fashionable, especially in electronic books, right now. So you are in luck.

I personally love historicals, but am open to contemporary and paranormal, as I never read contemporary and paranormal with bdsm scenes before.

The Catherine Coulter one was about a woman sold to a man, and lived in sexual slavery, she was often left tied and hanging naked while her husband masturbated watching her. She was whipped very often for disobedience and she was forced to service others. It was very bdsm. Even though it's not portraying bdsm as a erotic way of life but more of demonstrating the cruelty of the life she was in, and how this vanilla man came to save the day and got her spirit back, but that's what I'm looking for, I really enjoyed the read, even reading about how she found her self-worth back.

Patience by Lisa Valdez is a historical romance with strong D/s themes.

This novel is very controversial, as it's marketed as romance. Some find it too erotica and bdsm for their tastes.

Current BDSM Erotica authors you might try: Maya Banks, Cherise Sinclair, Tymber Dalton, Abby Gordon.

Anne Rice EXIT TO EDEN --- but don't bother with the movie of the same name, base VERY loosly on the novel

Yes that was a good one, although she was married to the old man and he couldn't get it up and blamed her which is why he beat her. I agree it was not advocated BDSM or D/sy concept but more of a regaining her self-esteem and falling in love with the hero -- an old beau.

You might also check your used book stores for the Leather & Lace series --- sort of soft porn with 2 or 3 stories per book, and a few had BDSM themes, usually restraints and/or spanking.
