A conversation down the pub with a kinky friend today reminded me that I hadn't actually started a thread on this, even though I meant to ages ago.

Rubber bands! They are wicked (in both senses of the word). I tend to either stretch them around the sub's thighs or loop one around my left thumb and index finger and hold it against the body, lift the lower thread away and then wait....and snap it back veryveryverysuddenly.

Because it's a tiny movement there is *no tell*-it's not like hitting someone, they can't see it coming at all

The pain is intense but quickly fades-although do it over and over in the same place a few times and it feels like *fire*, I am told-and it doesn't take that many in the same place to bruise.

The red lines it leaves are fine and precise (and pretty, and easy to manipulate-to the extent that the next play party I go to, I fully intend to borrow someone's stomach and play noughts and crosses on it).

Thankyou for listening to me babble enthusiastically-anybody have anything to add?

Aye she is cute and aye they do hurt especially when some inconsiderate person snaps them on your naked balls when bending over in the shower.

Rubberbands are fun and evil and versatile! I've always been more a fan of the every day objects that could be perverted over the elaborate toy bag.

They are great for snapping on various parts of the anatomy. The really small sturdier hair tie ones are particularly fun for well as for twisting around nipples. The larger/longer ones are great when wanting to play predicament bondage tricks, like wrapped around thighs and attached to nipple clamps.

I especially find rubber bands great for twisting around the ends of chopsticks for tongue bondage ;-)

I went to a demo a few years back entitled, you guessed it, "Fun With Rubbers". This light hearted demo literally was about all the kinds of things that you can do with rubber bands. All kinds of rubber bands. Don't think of just the simple snap against the skin or aiming them from across the room. Oh, you can be much more devious than that.

A couple of quick things that are really fun.

You can literally get a plastic gun where you can load and shoot rubber bands at your target. One drawback to this is that you can't pre-load the gun too much in advance if you really want it to sting. The rubber band being stretched to 'fire' wears down the elasticity. The plus side of this is, your bottom has to either load the gun for you or watch you load it, dreading what's about to happen.

Do you know there are some rubber bands (industrial size) that are big enough to literally bounce a person around in? Granted, you need some help with this one, but all it takes is the bottom to get inside the circle and a little push in the motion department. Once moving, they will 'bounce' into the elastic, which will throw them back in another direction. (Safety tip here. A gal in a corset is a perfect choice for this, as she has a little more protection for her ribs.)

There are also rubber band guns that use surgical rubber tubing for rubber bands. At 10 feet my pistol with a 16" draw leaves an interesting oval welt. I was on the receiving end of that after I was given the gun as a birthday present. <grins> I wanted to know what it would feel like through just a t-shirt. I found ouch....er out. Maximum range is about 25 meters and it takes about 10 seconds to load and stays loaded and powerful for quite a long while.

We used to make "lackey band" guns when I was a school boy out of pieces of wood in the shape of a pistol which fired the loaded stretched rubber band with roughly the sale distance as if fired from a ruler, but with deadly accuracy. It hurt like hell and was highly illegal at school.

How to Make a Rubber Band Gun
The rubber band gun is a classic toy that you can make at home. Rubber band guns first became popular in the 1930's when manufacturing made rubber bands cheap and money was tight for such luxuries as store bought toys. Read on to learn how to make a rubber band gun.

Things You'll Need:

1/2 inch thick panel (wood or plywood)

Ruler

Pencil

Jigsaw

Sandpaper

Clothespin

Rubber Band

Finishing nails

Hammer

· Step 1 Measure your hand from pinky to thumb. The handle of your rubber band gun should be a little bit longer than this measurement. The barrel of the gun should be less than 10 inches and more than six inches long.

· Step 2 Using your ruler, transfer the measurements to your panel. With the jigsaw, cut the L-shaped blank out of the panel. Sand the edges of your blank. Watch out for splinters.

· Step 3 Remove one of the legs of the clothespin from the spring. Place the leg of the clothespin with the metal spring on it against the back of the handle of the blank.

· Step 4 Hammer two finishing nails through the leg of the clothespin, one above and one below the spring. Reattach the other leg of the clothespin.

· Step 5 Loading and Firing: Stretch the rubber band from the upper corner of the barrel to the clothespin. Be sure the rubber band runs down the barrel and into the clasp of the clothespin without any overlap on the sides. Aim the rubber band gun and depress the clothespin.

There you go. have fun and have at it. (God I do love Google).
