So that means we'd be buying far far less foreign oil, at a lower price. I dont think ourgovernment wants that. Why do I think that? Because Obama stopped oil exploration in Alaska, and put a mortatorium on drilling platforms in the gulf.

Do you possibly, just possibly, think that the moratorium might, just possibly, have something to do with the spill that is so far uncontrollable?

Greenpeace Funded by the Political Class Friday, April 9, 2010 By Roger F. Gay Far-left advocacy group Greenpeace receives large donations from rich and powerful people, enough to drown the entire notion of political independence and non-partisanship. The mechanism of receiving funding – through foundations – is the same as the opposition “right wing” organizations that it criticizes for funding bias./snip

Paragraph 2 -
"Greenpeace is an international conglomerate, composed of corporations in 40 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Pacific. Included among Greenpeace’s largest corporate donors are the Rockefeller brothers, Ted Turner and Jane Fonda, and the Macarthurs; as well as a long list of foundations with left-leaning gifting bias."

So which one of the people mentioned represents big oil?

Yes rule anything is possible. It could be that they are worried about another disaster. What do they think all the rigs are going to tumble at once? Maybe we should stop using oil all together so there will be no more drilling at all, and therefore zero chance of a rig disaster

Lots of people will deserve gold letters (or beyond) if this continues.  The title of this thread is not "Who should apologize to whom."  Relate your posts to the thread topic, or go somewhere else.

No they weren't.

Their grandfather was.

They run a philanthropic organization called the Rockefeller Brothers Fund that contributes to many environmental causes and organizations.

But we don't want to let facts get in the way of Alex's conspiracy theories.

They are asking to lift the ban on shallow, not deep water drilling.

and your grandfather didnt have any influence on you? I think its safe to say the rockefellar name carries a long history of oil industry.

I think its stilll fair to say that greenpeace is NOT funded by big oil...it operates in 40 countries outside of the US and donations from a philanthropic foundation does not equate to a conspiracy.... to wreck an ecological system for shits n giggles.
My grip on reality is fine thankyou

A hundred years ago, yes.
Today it denotes a long history of public service and philanthropy.
They gave the land that the U.N. is on. The U.N. literally would not have come to be without that donation.

The  name to some of us stands for governors and vice president. With total rebuilding of a state capitol. And to their grandchildren, now taking up the philanthropic mantle, that will be more important than their great, great grandfathers activities.

Or how much weight does what your great great grandfather influence you? Mine ironed shirt collars for a living, doesn't impact me in the least.

Your sloppy investigation- proves that the country is unable to fix the spill.

How is that for conspiracy?

Obama sent SWAT.  Remember?  Or is that too long ago.
