No one would ever believe *this* is what is being talked about.

It's like walking into a leather bar where there are a bunch of big bad burly men and seeing they are having milk and cookies.

I have been to a knitting/crochetching circle once...it felt like heaven that knows exactly knew why I have to count each stitch. If I drop a stitch, I have a wee fit until I fix it up. I also learned a few new words for cussing. I learn not to cuss of a hook is in your hang but can be an effective weapon.

If you used to watch "Land of the Lost" Back in the 70s as a kids show, the reptilean(?) folks used an arrow with a notch below the head. I always thought that they were using crocheting hooks (arrows) for shooting people.

Gods, I just aged myself.

When they allowed knitting needles on aircraft again I was ever so happy. A circular needle is a rockin garrotte! Not to mention what a nice aluminum size 3 can do :)

I need to get the snowflakes crochet up...They are best sellers when you use cotton thread and a glue/starch dip (or sprayed) to make the forms straight.

And those #14 needles can do a power of damage to the abdomen...........................................not that i have ever thought about it - at all!!!! [8|]

Exactly. Is it any wonder knitters are so peaceful looking? Of course, considering what an opinionated bunch we are, it's kind of amazing that there isn't more blood shed at SnB's!

On NCIS tonight, a murder was by knitting needles. Yes it was on a plane and why the fucking air marshel did not do a damn thing..*mumbling*

MstrPBK -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/1/2010 9:31:15 PM)

Wait a moment ... the writers of the Avengers did an episode with murderous "aunties" and... knitting needles.
NCIS (though I never watched it) is by no means original.

Yeah, but are they knitting? Real men, like Rosie Greer, knit! [8D]

GreedyTop -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:01:46 AM)

I need to learn how to knit.. my crochet skills are about as good as my sweing skills (I failed HomeEc in 8th grade because I couldnt complete my sewing project - a scoop neck, short sleeved pullover top)

hlen5 -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:24:18 AM)

Loom knitting!! Yay!!

hlen5 -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:26:42 AM)

Greedy, buy a knitting loom (like Nifty-Knitter). You won't believe how easy uniform, nice looking stitches are to make with them!

GreedyTop -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:30:59 AM)

Theres also the attention span thing to consider ;)

How have you been?

I know someone who knitted a flogger.  That's right a FLOGGER.  I know others who have made cuffs, ropes, and assorted restraints either by knitting or crochet.  So let there be yarn!

I'm hoping they put some type of weights on it? Otherwise that would the world's most pansy flogger [;)]

wait, someone should send one of those to KoM, I'm sure he would appreciate it!

If knit using silk, and then used wet... I can guarantee... it ain't no pansy flogger... [:)]

hlen5 -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:43:15 AM)

I'm good, thank you! Did you enjoy your weekend?

As far as attention spans, loom knitting isn't complicated. I found that a good finished project with my first attempt made me want to keep going! And I have[:)]. I don't know how to knit with needles yet, but I will someday.

Edited to add, what about CMO?

GreedyTop -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:48:36 AM)

CMO is an awesome product for those afflicted with arthritis...

I had no weekend.. no day off in over 3 months.. tomorrow, that changes (although I WILL be spending the day doing stuff I have been putting off...)

hlen5 -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 12:50:25 AM)

Yikes! No day off in 90 days! How is that possible or legal?

GreedyTop -> RE: Yarn- Good or evil? (6/2/2010 1:03:59 AM)

meh, it's the job.  and I cant complain TOO much, since my bils are now all caught up!

I am off to bed.. bon soir, mes amis!
