Status: offline 		If the leader of the free world skips Arlington Cemetery this Memorial day,  does the Military respect him?   Does he loose credibility?

Status: offline 		It depends on how he plays it at the ceremony he does attend. The wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown is a powerful bit of ritual and symbolism.

Status: offline 		I don't know the rest of the story here, but I think the President should be at Arlington to lay the wreath out of respect and tradition.

Status: offline 		Tradition's been that several recent presidents have not been there for memorial day.  He is going to another military cemetery in IL.

They are all hallowed ground.

Status: offline 		for the polls, Obama should be displaying the wreath on the site It does send out a message of unity to the armed forces.

I just wish that the remaining WWII veterans get the the medals that they have earned.
