If the leader of the free world skips Arlington Cemetery this Memorial day,  does the Military respect him?   Does he loose credibility?

It depends on how he plays it at the ceremony he does attend. The wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown is a powerful bit of ritual and symbolism.

I don't know the rest of the story here, but I think the President should be at Arlington to lay the wreath out of respect and tradition.

Tradition's been that several recent presidents have not been there for memorial day.  He is going to another military cemetery in IL.

They are all hallowed ground.

for the polls, Obama should be displaying the wreath on the site It does send out a message of unity to the armed forces.

I just wish that the remaining WWII veterans get the the medals that they have earned.

As the daughter of a surviving WWII Vet, I agree with this wholeheartedly.
