Ed Balls is running for leadership of the UK Labour Party.  If he wins, there's every chance that, in five years' time, we'll have a prime minister called Balls.

I don't hate my country, but I do wish it could be a bit less embarrassing, at times.

Heseltine already did the Balls joke years ago - it might be funny again, once - but after that it would just get really old really fast.

I like the idea of Diane Abbott being Labour leader; not that she has a hope I suspect, and not that she really wants to be either I suspect - I suspect she's been put in on the promise of something or other in the future to split the left wing (you know, those socialist types with which Labour is infested?) at the vote what with that John McWhatever standing too.

I can't stand Abbot, I think she is really condescending, I like Ed rather than David but I think it will be the latter.

David was my local MP. He's great if you don't mind waiting for him to return from one of his many trips, and if there's a positive photo opportunity to be had.

Otherwise, he's a waste of space. Heaven help us if he gets in
