Sometimes... y'know... sometimes... what the hey, I'll go along. Is Obama worse than Hitler? Well, no. There are a few very rare individuals in history who, arguably, could be worse than Hitler. Stalin. Caligula. Pol Pot. I'm sure everyone could make their own list. This endless need for hyperbole is sad. The need to use Hitler as a comparison for everything someone dislikes devalues the horror of his actions. It's unfortunate that the level of discussion in our society has fallen to endless rounds of name-calling and mud-slinging in a race to the bottom of insult pile. The minute someone says something you disagree with - it's suddenly out with racist, socialist, communist, fascist, whatever. The minute they do something you dislike they're Hitler. Fro my end, the minute you have to result to insult you are conceding that you don't have a valid argument to make. You can dislike someone without needing to compare them to the worst figures in history. To be honest, you can like someone and disagree with their policy without having to accuse them of crimes against humanity. Look - here you go - I think that Barack Obama's re-appointing Ben Bernake to the Federal Reserve and blithely approving their "quantitive easing" policy (i.e. massively printing money) is a huge mistake and one that we will all pay for. I don't need to call him names to say that I think he's wrong. Regarding abortions and Hitler - to achieve Hitler status Barack Obama would have to start requiring forced abortions for a select group of pregnant mothers before I'd start considering him to be operating at that level.
