6,500 words is not a legal extract for discussion.

Is that too many words for you to read at one time?

He's talking about raising a few points instead of pasting entire articles, obviously.

And I agree. Abstract some essence. Let the link serve for the rest.

Dont you think you should cite the source of the words you posted?

The way you posted it, it comes across as a web video and the rest is your comments.

For the reading impaired the link was at the top of his post.
The link itself has a vidio and the text which silence8 posted.
One simple keystroke would have done this for you.
Is it really that difficult for you to follow?
Perhaps you need to use your own link to sylven the reading comprehension school you constantly pimp to those you wish to denigrate.

I heard a good speech today. Some distinguished guy, speaking before a whole lot of people... never heard of him. Seems to speak pretty well, I don't know, maybe watch it? Could be good.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE TRANSCRIPT:

One month ago, Joseph Andrew Stack crashed his small plane into an office building in Austin, Texas, hitting an IRS office, committing suicide. He left a manifesto explaining his actions. It was mostly ridiculed, but I think it deserves a lot better than that.

Odd how he felt the need to add the bolded part after i raised the issue. Now run along like a good boy.

Perhaps he added it for the morons who have difficulty with reading comprehension.
It seems to have had the desired effect.

In the last 10 mins- I see posts that the authors have no idea what thin ice they are on.

I think you better re-think slug-fest.

"re-thinking" assumes "thinking" in the first place, pahunk.

Why should you be sorry for being rude and insensitive...it is something you do well amid a sea of things which you do not.

Back to the OP...

quote:

Well, for the radical imagination to be rekindled and to lead the way out of this desert, what is needed is people who will work to sweep away the mists of carefully contrived illusion, reveal the stark reality, and also to be directly engaged in popular struggles that they sometimes help galvanize.

This concluding point is a nice sentiment, but it reveals the vapidness of the well worded but empty speech. It should have been the introduction, not the conclusion, an introduction to strategies to achieve this fine sounding goal.

Instead, he presents an overview of what is, with no more ideas for solutions than the people he reviews.
