Status: offline 		So I was wondering why the board suddenly had threads attacking Pelosi and started doing some research. And what do my wondering eyes find? Speaker Pelosi maneuvered the GOP into one of its stupidest bloc votes ever.

Precisely one House Republican had the sense to not go on record as voting in favor of tax cuts for businesses that out source jobs. They must have known the bill would pass despite their opposition so why go on the record on such an issue? Did they feel sorry for their Senate colleagues who voted against punishing rapists? Do they not have anyone who has ever met a blue collar worker?

I think the point is that if the democrats were doing it you and your conservative brothers would be jumping down their throats.

When conservatives do it though, you are all far less indignant.

I don't believe anyone can defend tax cuts for outsourcers. That's my point. Just as a tactical point why would all but one House Republican cast a vote they were both sure to lose and put them on the wrong side of this issue?

Status: offline 		Maybe they didn't want to vote for another stimulus bill that spends another 127 billion dollars? (Which is what this bill they voted against is.)

Take the tax cuts for outsourcers out and make it into it's own bill, I'd be for it. But lumped in with HR 4213, I'd have voted against it as well.
