I AM actually a little bummed. In contrast to most political couples, they actually looked like they LIKED each other. I wonder what could have caused the break-up. Tipper never had to stand his side (her eyes behind shades) while he apologized for his infidelity or anything.

I was sad to read this also as they seemed like such "The Couple"..but no one knows what goes on behind closed doors in any couples household.....What Leonard Cohen song is that from..I love his music? Thanks!

On a cruise i went on with my ex, there was a chair that blocked the door to our balcony. You had to move it to go outside. i called it the "Al Gore chair." Why? Because it was an Inconvenient Chair.......[:D] (rimshot) (Oh, and i'm surprised about the split too)

I'm sad to hear it. I don't care about the politics or anything else on the issue. It has got to hurt to come to the conclusion that, after forty years of living with the person that you fell in love with, that it's time to end the marriage. What a sad day that has to be.

Thanks Arpig...I don't know that one but have a bunch of his CD's my brother made for me so I am sure that is on there...I have a bunch of favorites but right now the one called "A thousand kisses Deep"..

I find it hard to believe that a couple who had the book 'Love Story', written about them would ever split up.
