...with a pounding headache?  [&:]  Just wondering.  I thought that it was because my body was dehydrated while sleeping but that doesn't really seem to be the case.  Asked the doc and they just kinda shrugged.  Awesome, right?

Not really looking for the cure or anything.  Just curious if anybody else wakes up from a dream with a headache?

Sometimes I get busy, then tired, hit the hay, and wake up with very low blood sugar, which can cause a headache.

Yes, often, after dealing with it for awhile, my dentist pointed out that I had to be either clenching my jaw or grinding my teeth at night. Do you find your jaw is really tight or have you noticed your back teeth to be more worn than usual?

yes, I often do.  I am assuming it is stress related, combined with a totally screwed up sleep schedule.  There are too many possible factors involved.. go see a doctor.

My brother was having headaches of this sort for months. His doctor sent him to have a sleep test done at a sleep center and it turns out he had severe sleep apnea. He was losing a great deal of oxygen when he slept. It caused him headaches and high blood pressure. They gave him an oxygen machine to wear when he sleeps. It stopped the headaches and his blood pressure returned to normal.

laurell3: I do clench my jaw when I'm stressed, however, I don't know if I do it while I sleep or not...

GreedyTop: I have mentioned this to my doctor.  They said it was probably due to stress.  So they prescribed "un-stressing" to me.

LadyCimarron: My brother in law has sleep apnea and he snores LOUD!  I'm pretty sure if I did that, my significant other would have probably mentioned it, haha.

Thanks, everybody!

Every single time I take a nap instead of a full sleep, I wake up with a splitting headache and feeling ill.
I have no idea what causes it so I just try not to take naps but sometimes it's just inevitable.
It sucks bigtime.

You'd thinking taking a nap would make one feel more refreshed and rested...nope, doesn't work that way for me though.

You might just be hung over...or dehydrated...(or both). [;)]
