Bahahaha....there's a reason I keep coming back here. Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what it is. Posts like this are definitely up there on the list. Thanks.

Fast track to spot a subby/slave type in a crowded restaurant or other public place....   Stand up and fiercely point to the ground at your feet and bellow "KNEEL". Sooner or later you'll find one or three folk who will instinctively drop to their knees. Bit like my brother used to have the attitude that if at any outing he asked every female to go to bed with him, he'd get a few slapped faces and many irate husbands or boyfriends but you'd get enough agreements to keep you up all night for a week at least. Used to be not long after 'Nam, I'd walk into a crowded male dunny where blokes were lining up to use the urinal. I'd shout "FIRE IN THE HOLE" and sure enough enough people would either dive out of the way or panic that I would find an unoccupied porcelain alter so I could pee my offerings in peace.  Just a thought, might work and it might not but it will cause a stir and could be fun.

im not sure if its that random or not - types attract types - when a man catches my eye its because he gives out a certain kinda energy - its almost subliminal - i dont go around checking guys out as a general rule at all, but some guys just catch my attention and ive never really questioned why, its just that they do.

by the same token i have always attracted dominant types, even in vanilla they were dominant types - either i was drawn to them or them to me, i dont know - both maybe.

i do think body language and to some degree how we project ourselves connects on some level and is how and why people attract people -

oddly enough, its since ive grown more confident in myself through being submissive that i tend to come across now, as a strong, self assured type and i no longer get approached by guys who try to sweep me along with themselves - if anything much gentler personality types come through.  having said that i came across a sort of 'battle of wills' thing only the other day in the supermarket where a guy kinda charged up to me in such a way that i automatically had to step back.  the whole attitude was 'im passing through, get out of my way' and the look on his face was quite unmistakeably 'you think youre tougher than me but youre not' it was really odd.  he kept turing up at different points in the shop, like walking down the aisle, i had to move out of his way twice as we walked down in opposite directions.  in the end i saw it as a sort of game and just played along - which was what he was after anyway i spose.

so i wouldnt rule it out at all - but i would imagine it takes two aware people to be aware of each other.

In the last year i have been approached several times by Doms, out of the blue, who just figured out i was submissive. It was at work, by customers or coworkers, who i had barely spoken to. The first time, it was before i even knew i was submissive myself. That strikes me as odd. Can You guys see submission? Can You "spot" a submissive on the street? How do You broach the subject with a stranger? i think it's very strange. i could not "spot" a Dom. On the contrary, they are often the very last people i would expect. Any information would be much appreciated.

p.s. i should add that i'm very quiet and hard working, but i'm not aware of acting "submissive" at work. However, i have been told that i'm "mysterious", and i have a tendency to get picked on or taken advantage of a lot.
pam

When I'm scanning for fem/sub, I'm looking for eyes.... Mostly mutual eye contact and how hers react to mine. A bunch of hooey? Maybe, but as far as I'm concerned, Nature equips us to recognise our "own".

And sometimes it doesn't even need to be a mutual eye contact. Sometimes, some women (on tv, for eg) have eyes that elicit an overwhelmingly magnetic interest to mine - they just gush "submissive". An example is an oldish movie I watched recently for the first time called "Meet Joe Black". It stars Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt (as the Grim Reaper) and I don't even know who the female lead was who played Hopkins' youngest daughter and Pitt's love interest, but her eyes, DAAAAAMN, those utterly alluring, hypnotic eyes.... Add all manner of subtle (and not so) submissive gestures and dialogue and I just couldn't stop watching. Now the dialogue can come from script writers but the mannerisms and those gorgeous eyes...?

I was gonna watch it again just to get her name from the credits but logic kicked in.... I mean, what for? We're never gonna meet.... I say the "eyes" have it...!

Come on OP, you only take an interest (or not) in a potential Dominant *after* they've identified themselves as such? Or are there familiar cues and clues etc that pique your interest and curiosity long before intros and info are exchanged?

Focus.

i do often get told that there's "something" about me that's different.

People tend to open up to me, and share themselves with me - men especially - very easily.  i can't tell you how many times i've simply sat by someone in a waiting room, or on an airplane, or at a hotel bar, or wherever, and wound up hearing someone's entire life story.

i have had men cross a crowded airport just to come say hello to me and ask about me and what it is it that i "do" - which is fun to explain at times.  People love a mystery, and i enjoy holding a bit of it.

It is fun, most of the time - i love people, and learning about them - sometimes overwhelming, because when i want privacy, i often simply can't have it.  This is one of the reasons i tend to be a private person staying at home writing a lot while i'm un-owned - helps me not get overwhelmed so much.

Is this due to the fact that i'm a deeply submissive slave?  i don't know.  i'm also a very strong woman.  It could just be all the yoga and meditation showing as well - i tend to be a peaceful person in general, with a bit of a naughty streak.  My friends tell me that they "see it" - my submission, so there you go.  Whatever it is, i do enjoy it - it is what makes me "me," and isn't that what we all should embrace....our true natures?

The best time to go spotting is late at night, with a really bright flash light.

I've always used the "subcall"

~~Here Slutty slutty slut slut.

I have also use my slavedar. It's like Gaydar but spots slaves. When turned on however it has a hard time telling the difference between slaves and 3rd shift Denny's Waitresses.

Then there is the proven Method of WHACKING them on the ass with a stiff hand or paddle and those who ask for another one can usually be coaxed into handcuffs or clubbed over the head and dragged back to a cave.

The BEST method of spotting them for me has been to flirt WILDLY, ask them if I can tie them to my bed and let my wife have her way with them, then I give them my phone number and wait for the call. Sometimes this takes a return visit but once the waitress realizes that we are serious we can usually get a call in a week or so.

In the end the method you use may vary but I suggest doing everything you can and preying you don't get arrested.

So Who here works at Denny's?

QSM

haha nice!

I don't know how they are spotting you....on the outside, people tend to think that I am the one wearing the pants in the relationship, they are totally wrong, but I guess perhaps we hide our lifestyle well.  I suppose if I were to try to put off some submissive vibes, then perhaps I may be detectable via "slavedar" haha.

said some, not all and it is usually the ones that are super shy wall flowers, not to say all wall flowers are submissive

it is just to say that some if you watch them a while you (I) get a sense of what they are.
I do not really find this to be true with myself or other subs i know. Shy wallflower subs are out there, no doubt, but i hardly think they are the norm.
Speaking for myself , i am submissive to one only and do not display a submissive personality in public...just the opposite in fact.

Wow, those sure looked like pants to me.  Boy, I thought I was up on couture.  Actually, QSM's post really cracked me up, too!  I need laughter!  Really, though?  I need somebody with a car or a truck who's bigger than me and can carry stuff while I take a nap. Any takers?

Submissives are easy to spot.

The musclebound guy
Anyone driving a jacked up pickup truck
Anyone who carries a bigger gun than they need for the job
Anyone who wears a flogger on their hip
Female
Gorean

Lots of easy clues if you are man enough to see them correctly

I have no idea if you can spot a sub; in my case everyone assumes I am a Domme or tries to get me to switch, which is seriously annoying.

I guess I don't have that sub look. :(

Clair Forlani...? Obviously I've never heard of her but if ever I were to back a total stranger to be drop dead submissive, I'd put the house keys on her.

That scene where her and Pitt were about to kiss but he (as 'Death') was hampered by his lack of social skill and experience etc.... I'll hafta watch it again but I think they actually got interupted (by Hopkins?) but just prior to that, there was so much happening I could relate to.

She clearly wanted to be kissed; he was "lost" and unsure - to me, she looked and acted *exactly* how a submissive looks and acts when a Dominant isn't dominating; isn't taking the lead. She was then forced to lead and she had ALL the traits of a sub leading - awkward, hesitant, unsure. Damn, I've NEVER seen a non D/s movie where soooo much was happening - even without any dominant reaction from 'Death'. And not a whip, rope, "Sir" or command in general to be seen anywhere....

Sooooo, triple points on offer here.... Clair's CM screen name? lol

Focus.

That's a valid point....

Many a submissive holds down managerial type positions. And as far as you apparently being the one "wearing the pants", I'd say it's more to do with who's observing. A Dominant *looks* for submissive traits in the individual, even when we don't realise we're doing it. I'll go to my grave swearing your eyes would give you away to a Dominant looking for cues and clues - that you wouldn't hafta "try" to give off anything....

And then there's that utterly adorable girly screen name (and I love all things "girly"). I think you've actually surpassed my previous favourite of "gigglebunny" over at bondage.com. Lofty stuff.... :)

Focus.
