i do often get told that there's "something" about me that's different.

People tend to open up to me, and share themselves with me - men especially - very easily.  i can't tell you how many times i've simply sat by someone in a waiting room, or on an airplane, or at a hotel bar, or wherever, and wound up hearing someone's entire life story.

i have had men cross a crowded airport just to come say hello to me and ask about me and what it is it that i "do" - which is fun to explain at times.  People love a mystery, and i enjoy holding a bit of it.

It is fun, most of the time - i love people, and learning about them - sometimes overwhelming, because when i want privacy, i often simply can't have it.  This is one of the reasons i tend to be a private person staying at home writing a lot while i'm un-owned - helps me not get overwhelmed so much.

Is this due to the fact that i'm a deeply submissive slave?  i don't know.  i'm also a very strong woman.  It could just be all the yoga and meditation showing as well - i tend to be a peaceful person in general, with a bit of a naughty streak.  My friends tell me that they "see it" - my submission, so there you go.  Whatever it is, i do enjoy it - it is what makes me "me," and isn't that what we all should embrace....our true natures?

you need a goose, that will keep them away and every body will assume it's your dom/me

be sure to have lots of grapes

i don't have a goose, but i do have a poodle...unfortunately he's not very "Domly" - i think i may be out of luck here.

I think "they" can tell. And they seem to always convey they can tell.

I don't believe anyone who says they can pick out anything without some seriously obvious clues. Funny how someone makes a post and so many have the answers. I enjoyed the sarcasm though. Very clever.

I believe a person who enjoys the art of submission should really get to know any potential partner. The first clue you give can turn any opportunistic asshole into a Dom. The other thing is...experience. Then again, most just want to have fun (did I say fun? I meant bull).

Well, I have been to a couple of munches now... you know. where you just KNOW that there are going to be submissives and even THEN it isnt always possible t tell by appearance or behaviour.
Sure... some are obviously subs, some are obviously Doms but there is a whole area where you just REALLY don't have a clue!

Either that, or I need an upgrade to my Sub radar.

Hmm, after reading this thread I'm feeling the urge to go to Denny's and watch Joe Black.

Something most of us count on is the difficulty in determining kinky tendencies in normal life, but seeing submissive personality traits is easier. Posture, eye movement, overall body language and speech patterns all play a role. I rarely notice these things outright, but when I try to figure out why I'm drawn to someone those things jump out. I had a horrible attraction to Shirley Jones in The Music Man when I was young. Watched it recently and saw why -nothing sexier than a strong woman who is submissive for the right person.

Can You guys see submission? Can You "spot" a submissive on the street? How do You broach the subject with a stranger? i think it's very strange. i could not "spot" a Dom.

i think it must be in my eyes. my eyes are very telling. In my profession i'm a supervisor, but when i'm not at work i do have unconscious body language and "eye language" that's telling and i know it because i've been told. As for spotting Doms "on the street," i just pick up Their vibes or something. It must be Domdar, because i'm sure successful. [;)]

i'm more of a "Clark Kent" submissive. All week long at my version of 'The Daily Planet' aka "work", i am a take charge, problem solving, even aggressive at times, type.

But after a visit to the phone booth (whenever i'm with a dominant partner) i'm tame, obsequious, and totally compliant....Nobody that knows me in my day-to-day role(Jimmy, Lois, etc) would ever believe i get off immensely from being controlled.

i've never been approached by any guy asking or insinuating that i was submissive....it's always a surprise that i "spring on" them, with mixed results.

(i think subliminally....perhaps, i'm overdue to watch a Superman movie)[8|]
