ORIGINAL: popeye1250 Popeye, I am wondering if your opinion would honestly be the same if the solution for stopping unwanted male attentions was to remove all but 1" of the teenaged boys penis as soon as nocturnal emissions begin or would you see that as unnecessary and barbaric? Whatever happened to "Multi-Culturalism?" Sure, it's "agreeable" as long as it's nice and warm and fuzzy right? This may not be "agreeable" in "the West" but evidently it is in Cameroon. And it's not my govt's job to be interfering in things like this in foreign countries. I might have heard the name "Cameroon" four times in my life. I just don't care what they do there. In England one of the "rituals" of young men is to go out "hunting" in pubs and consume so much alcohol that they lose conciousness and pass out in the street! And sometimes they die. I'm supposed to "care" about that too? I am not suggesting you aren't being honest here. I am asking for clarity's sake that you personally are comfortable with the idea of them removing most of a teen-aged boy's penis to prevent unwanted male attentions towards the girls? Because this is a ritual and not a medical procedure, the circumstance under which this is performed isn't sterile. There is no anesthetic, the tools are crude and complications are common. (Keep in mind that the reason for this ritual is ignorance.) Edit: punctuation Anjelica, if they want to do that in Cameroon who am I to stop them? It's their business not ours! Hell, run them over with steam rollers, what do I care?
