ORIGINAL: vincentML She also said the Israelis were "occupiers." So, you are telling me that "get the hell out" is now a code word for bigotry? If a Syrian said the United States should "get the hell out" of Iraq is that not political speech? Or does it cross over to hate speech? Quite honestly, I have never heard this before... that "get the hell out" is an equivalent to hate speech. Is that why the old girl is being reviled? Because she was rude in her choice of words? Really? vincent, I didn't go back and listen to her again, but the impression I got was that she meant "All Jews get the hell out of the Middle East. Go back to Europe, or wherever else you came from." As in the entire state of Israeli shouldn't exist. I think that steps over the line. Firm Firm, oh yes, I am quite sure that's what she meant. To my mind that is political speech not hate speech. But, I received the following email from a friend: "Remember, The jewish experience in Poland & Germany was anything but idyllic. The fucking poles took great delight in killing whatever Jews the germans missed. Suggesting that they go back to what was a cemetary for them is a wish that they all go up in smoke.Fuck her , her relatives , and her whole fucking tribe.!!!" Now that makes a whole helluva lot more sense for the outrage than anything I saw on this thread or in the news. Not much to do with "get the hell out" but quite specifically to do with where she was returning them and what their experience had been. Yep, that crossed the line.
