Punishmentality -> CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:00:07 PM)

Hello All....

Whenever I would see a Dominant Man's profile on CM who is actively seeking both submissive women and switch women, I wondered if that meant that the Dom had a submissive side and might enjoy being dominated by the switch... or do you think he is actively seeking the submissive side of the switch woman?

Either way is fine with me, I love it all :) I was just curious as to how others interpreted that.

P'mentality...

laurell3 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:01:22 PM)

Ask them. I'm not sure you can generalize on that one.

lally2 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:06:26 PM)

its just me, my aversion only probably, but youre title or whatever its called - punishmentality - you should change it i think - its giving out a message there thats just going to draw in all sorts of saddo - [&:]  sorry, hijack over.

lally2 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:08:27 PM)

and back to topic.

yes, i think he's interested in switching otherwise he wouldnt be looking for a switch - if all he wants is the submissive why would he want the switch side of the submissive only, he'd just leave it as looking for a sub.

Syrox -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:19:32 PM)

Not nessicarily.. Switche3s provide challenges all their own. and DO fight back. which if anything keeps a Dom well on his toes.

lally2 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:21:37 PM)

oh right! - okay, then as laurel said - youd be better asking him.

DarkSteven -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:41:23 PM)

I have seen several profiles of women that called themselves switches that were perfectly capable of not letting their inner Domme out to play, but would in the right setting.  And I've seen some bi switches that Dom women and sub to men.  I'd have no problem with either type.

Haha, I don't fight when I'm submitting, quite the contrary. I don't switch within a relationship though and others may do it very differently. When I was looking, my search included switches and dominants despite the fact I was not looking for a sub or to top at all. In my case it just broadened my search. I don't assume that switches HAVE to switch without asking.

Syrox -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:47:11 PM)

well the ones i have had experience of, you could pretty much take any rulebook you liked and throw it out the window.  Not that they weren't good, they just posed a different set of challenges. or at least mine did.

laurell3 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:49:41 PM)

Oh I don't doubt it, I'm just saying one shouldn't assume, we're all different and undefinable regardless of label.

There's a ton of threads on it in the switch forum if you look back OP.

(Syrox I never know who the hell you are btw, you change so often!)

KatyLied -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:53:31 PM)

I always figured they put both in order to broaden the selection pool.

lally2 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 5:55:55 PM)

but what i dont understand is, if someone likes to switch and youre not looking for that switchability to um, switch, then arent they denying themselves that element of themselves.

Used to be Phoenix73Sir.. but am going to be sticking with this name now.  don't plan on changing any time soon lol.. my avatar on the toherhand... thats a different matter :P

laurell3 -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 6:00:28 PM)

Well some are I would guess. My primary role is submissive, I don't need to top. I would have a much more difficult time in a ltr with a straight sub though, although it's workable and I'm certainly not the model for switches as I kinda gave it up because of issues like this.

AnimusRex -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 9:17:18 PM)

Men are men, and pussy is pussy.

Sorry to be so crude- but thats pretty much how it works.

It isn't a great mystery.

He may also have more than one sub, and would like someone else to "take the reins" so to speak. I've seen/heard of that happening in dynamics before. I'm not saying thats the case, just saying it's a possibility.

riptorian -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/4/2010 10:11:32 PM)

Interesting topic, as I had this very "conversation" with myself inside my head, and decided to check off switch women as well. As a dom (and not switch) I feel it might be obvious I am seeking the sub side of the switch. And if it is not clear, there is nothing wrong in asking :)

I both agree and disagree with AR, the pussy is just pussy. As I feel it need some elaboration at least in my case. If a switch likes to domme in some relationships and sub in others, I am fine with that, if she wants to sub in "ours". So in that regard, pussy is just pussy, yes. Or maybe even better said, sub is just sub. What she does in other relationships is out my hands anyway.

Hope you found it helpful.

I'd be one of those Doms. It has nothing to do with me being part swtichy (ain't gonna happen) and everything to do with a compromise.

IE, fem/subs aren't that easy to find around my way and that my experience of switches (and I stress *MY* experience) is that they'd much rather submit than dominate. Personally, I think switching is their way of keeping their hand in the lifestyle rather than choosing between vanilla or solo when they can't find a Dom/me. Again, just my experience of switches I've known *personally*, ie r/l.

Focus.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: CM Profile: Actively Seeking... (6/5/2010 6:27:00 AM)

I always find these 'ideas' about switches that I see posted, much like the OP's, rather amusing.

I consider myself a switch, because I do enjoy Topping.  I don't switch roles in my individual relationship.  Like laurell3, when I'm with a dominant individual I respond as a submissive.  Sometimes, I'll engage with a bottom, for some fun.  There's no struggle or fight with the dominant, any more than I'd allow a bottom to try and top me in a scene.

For dominants who include switches in their search, I just imagine simply that they are rather smart cookies.

This is my thought too.

I'm switchy. I am absolutely submissive to Master, but I also will be Dominant over others.
