The anti-christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything.

Mostly these evangelicals blame liberals for the ills that lead to God’s punishing the world with the apocalypse. Pastor John Hagee pointed out that Katrina occurred right after a gay pride parade. After 9/11 Pastors Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson agreed that God gave us “what we deserve.”

One third of the 60 million white Christian evangelicals in America believe the world will end in their lifetime , according to a Pew poll. They subscribe to a theology known as “premillennial dispensationalism”. (h/t Gawker)

Now blogs on the Christian fringe are abuzz with possibility that the oil spill is the realization of Revelation 8:8–11. “The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed … A third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the water, because it was made bitter.” According to Revelation, in other words, something terrible happens to the world’s water, a punishment to those of insufficient faith. The foul water, according to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, mirrors one of the plagues God called upon Egypt on behalf of his people Israel.

These are the most selfish motherfuckers ever created in the world and some of the most dangerous ,.....for hoping the "end" comes soon,so they can get to watch it on TV,hoping to be a witness !!

They should be kept away from any kind of power especially executive.They are just crazy enough to try to trip the "end times" or help bring it about.These nutters actually believe their BS.

Ok so they may not trigger Armageddon.They`re still dangerous enough to try.Many fundies thought and hoped out loud that bush was being used as God`s hand when he invaded Iraq,just so damm sure that their mutual delusion was the "end times".

Talk about inflated egos! What self important,self aggrandizing selfish behavior!

HTF do these motherfuckers figure that they are the ones to witness the ~~~End Times~~~?!!!

They don`t have any proof either way that it`s soon or in 3000 years from now if at all.But they sure as hell want it to happen and soon and pray on it and jibber jabber about it,as if such a horrible thing can prayed and hoped for.

This issue is the most important reason why fundies should never be allowed near the White House.Not because we believe/think these nuts are right,but b/c they think so.

Pew also reports that Congolese, Kenyan, Rwandan,Mozambican Muslims, about 69%, also believe the world is ending in their lifetime or " sooner " than we think.

I ask the question, who cares and who are they hurting by thinking the world is ending ? How does this affect your life one iota ?

A whole lot of people belive that the world will end on 12/21/2012 based on the Mayan calender. Do those people get your boxers in wad too ?

Really, who cares ? People of all faiths and no faith have predicted and believed the world is coming to an end, since time began.

Let`s not kill everyone and everything at once and forever.

Of course the fundie-nutters believe that they`ll remain untouched b/c after all they, are supper dupper Christians who will as the good book says,sit at the side of Jesus ,forever.

What it really means is mass destruction of the planet and it`s eco-systems including a period of nuclear winter where so much earth dust and material is vaporized that is creates shroud like affect in the upper atmosphere,partially or totally blocking out solar rays from reaching the surface.

Sure,not every thing or everyone will die,but they`ll wish they were dead.

That's the thing, it really does not. There's actually a great deal of things that people believe, thing or say are in the bible that ain't there. Sincerely, there's a lot of stuff that's been twisted around for hundreds upon hundreds of years even.

Status: offline 		Speechless at the arrogance and ignorance of the bloggers - they truly believe that the apocalypse should come to pass in the US when there's a whole world available for it to occur? OK the US is large, but on a global scale not so much and the Gulf Of Mexico is a duckpond compared to the ocean area of the planet.

Personally I feel that, even if I'm shown to be wrong and all the stuff in the bible comes to pass, I'll be one of those enjoying rapture whilst these sorts of morons drown in the lake of fire or whatever it is as JC stands there telling them they never knew him, or whatever it is he's meant to say on such an occasion.
