So , what do you think makes a good One?
To me, i think a lot depends on having a nature that cares about their submissives, being able to guide and support just as the sub obeys and supports them. They are not just the one in control, they are the one who make decisions often that affect the lives of their other.

My Sir is a good dominant for me because not only did he love my body, appreciate my mind and enjoy my sense of humor, he also encouraged my crafty side, allowing me to spend time in the sewing room - away from him - sometimes for extended periods of time when the muse hit me.

So basically for me a good dominant is one that enjoys all facets of my personality, and doesn't enjoy fighting.

One who is compatible with you. For some that means lots of contact, for others it must include lots of alone time.
What do you need? Someone who punishes first, and then talks to you or the other way around? Or no punishment at all, just communication?

One who is able to dominate you in a way that you find appealing and who is able to relate to you otherwise in a way that you find appealing.

I think the first quality would be maturity, which is what i like in my Domme Miss Cillie, it's amazing haw she has matured in the 3 years we have been together

There's no such thing as a Universal Good Dom. I have been lousy for some subs, and very good for others. It's whether they provide a good fit to a specific sub.

Leather pants never give wedgies, the trouble is keeping them on because the weight makes them slide down.

My first IM to a chick here recently was "on your knees slut" and she thought that was awesome.

In all honesty, modesty is the sign of a good dominant, which is why so many women on CM think I am such an amazing dominant. We all know how great I am and knowing that despite all that, I am still probably the most modest dominant on CM is, frankly, utterly amazing.

yeah, I would have to say modesty is the best sign, after that, a screen name that screams modesty is another good sign, perhaps also that despite being handsom they don't use their own face as an icon, knowing how unfair that might be.
