Status: offline 		I agree with the OP regarding pictures. I'm always shocked when people have dirty laundrey laying about, candy wrappers, and empty beer bottles in their pictures. Have some pride!

I'm just trying to make a few of them think a little bit.  I've actually had some message me and say "thank you", and that they hadn't thought about this or that.  It's all in good fun. :)

Yeah, yeah I'm totally clueless and have no idea what I'm talking about. If you really think the majority of guys hitting your mailbox here are looking for love, you're going to be in for some serious disappointment with your "old guard ways".

It's not really negative, it's group psychology. It's possible that when one approaches a set group of people, actually getting to know the group you are engaging and reading the threads out there is a better approach than your current one. If you did that you might find we tend to have some expectation that people engage their brains on this side. You're not living up to that expectation, thus you're getting snark. I think you'll find if you open your mind a bit and actually converse rather than bitch and moan, there's a hell of a lot of experience, wisdom, compassion, comradarie and friendship in the regular posters here who also tend to forgive bad first impressions. If you think this is negative, I'd avoid the absolute statements if I were you, for some it IS about sex and there's not a thing in the world wrong with that.

Status: offline 		Hello star......i see that you now have your profile hidden.....i don't blame you!! i did the same thing.....i have found that there are many, MANY people on these forums that just love to be able to run down others when and if they can, they can be very judgemental then use the excuse that they are entitled to give their opinion when sometimes it wasnt even asked for in the first place.

Status: offline 		I think that if you have a profile up for the purpose of meeting someone, you should put your best foot foreward. Since things like personal hygiene, grooming, taking pride in ones appearance are things that are important to me, the pics of Doms in grubby T's or unwashed hair, untrimmed beards saves me a lot of time and wasted effort.

As far as stuff in the background... I've been known to be a little messy myself, but dirty plates would be a bit much for me.

Status: offline 		Thankyou tazzygirl for telling me about the "PM". .....amazing?.....no....i just hav'nt been using the forums for as long as others and i'm still learning how it works.

I just think its unfair that people give opinions on things when it is unasked for, i didnt like how others critisized star's profile, its a another matter if they think differently from what the subject was about......i agree with what star said. 
I've met a (so-called) Dom in my earlier days of learning who was like the one she described, if i had of been more experienced i would'nt of even bothered meeting him, but its all a part of the learning curve, each Dom (and the pretend Doms) i met taught me more about myself.

Status: offline 		i think that the only time it ever bothers me or makes me stop is when in the background of a Doms pic there is ALOT of clutter.. like a Hoarder... see that would just make me NUTZ lol but in general i just think.. oh.. i am needed! lol keeping His home neat and nice and a place to Want to come home to is one of the things i "DO" ....Bitching , complaining and putting others down in a Drama Queen manner i ( even for "fun") is not... to each their own!

i read one Doms profile and He added at the end.. that if the girl" cleaned , cooked and laughed it would be a plus!" i always thought that would be a necessity..close to the first 3 Top things on the list.. lol but then.. some ppl do not require a clean or neat home.. go figure!

That is a shame because her profile was a perfect example of the people who run down others that you said you didn't like in your post. Very judgmental and negative. But like she said, her put downs are all in good fun, so I am sure you wouldn't have a problem with that.

Agreed. External disorder can be a reflection of internal disorder. If you can't pick up after yourself in the most basic areas of housekeeping, chances are fairly good you suck in other areas, too.

Housework for a live-in slave is a given responsibility in my world. Serving sloppy pseudo-dominance masking underlying Oedipus complexes shouldn't be.
