If you listen to talk radio or watch Fox, you’ve probably heard your favorite hosts like Mark Levin and Glenn Beck promoting gold for a company called Goldline. According to MSNBC, Goldline is a rip off:
Glenn Beck is under fire for his connection to a precious metals seller that is ripping off American people, according to critics. In a report released Wednesday, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) called for an investigation into Goldline’s alliance with conservative personalities. Weiner claims that Goldline sells gold coins for 90 percent over melt value and some radio and television hosts are aiding in the scam. Highlighted in Weiner’s report are names such as Glenn Beck, Fred Thompson, Dennis Miller, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larson, Michael Smerconish, Monica Crowley and Mike Huckabee. All are on the Goldline’s payroll. … Beck recommends Goldline but advises viewers to pray for guidance on which company to trust. “Here’s the deal. Call Goldline, study it out, pray on it. If it’s right thing for you, then do it. But please study it out. Find the people that you trust. The people I trust are the people at Goldline,” Beck said in one advertisment./snip

Status: offline 		There are a dozen or so companies selling gold on line, on the radio and on TV. Every one could be a a rip off. Let the buyer beware.

So Fox and Glen Beck - is getting greedy.

Status: offline 		I can't believe I'm going to say this....but I'm with servant on this.

The market indexes are averages--they do not mean all stocks followed the average, either in direction or magnitude.

And---like many people, I didn't lose a cent in '08, because I didn't sell anything. I did, however, buy cheaper shares, and like servant says, the dividends don't care about the share price.

One of Becks shticks is scaring his viewers into believing another bigger financial crash is coming,or Armageddon......or something in between,...take your pick.As long as you`re scared.

That`s the radio commercial.

Then there`s the seeds.

Another thing every doomsday paranoid/tea-bagger needs is the seeds.

Not just any seeds mind you.You need to buy Beck`s "survival seeds" as defense against "emerging totalitarianism"....lol

Not making this up,folks.

So you can plant a "crisis garden"....lol

Supposedly the seed package contains all the seeds to plant an acre of land blah blah blah...

Afterall, securing a source of food for your family is the single most important thing you can do."

Beck also shills the seeds,the doom and gloom predictions and throws in the "think of your family"guilt crap in for good measure.So you better buy his seeds and start digging a bunker.

This guy Beck is a very talented grifter and his viewers are world class dunces.

Once we de-value it is too late.

Status: offline 		The Goldline homepage very clearly displays the prices of gold (and other metals) and their recent history. If they are charging 167% of that and someone is buying it, then culling them from gene pool would be appropriate.

However, here is what I suspect all this nonsense is about: they sell collectible coins as well as bulk metals. Some huffingtonpost moron probably compared the price of a collectible vs the value of the gold in the coin and then claims its a 167% markup to impugn anyone they could.

That`s exactly how I feel knowing the millions and millions tricked out of neo-cons,fox veiwers and righty-fringies who buy Palin`s books,Becks books(another coming soon)as well as seeds and over priced gold.
