Was that the president or was it the bean counters, who can change the pay scale as an administrative action with out the presidents input? What a jerk....he's never been even close to being in the service. Perhaps we need to insist that he go through SEAL training? What possible purpose would that serve? Which president with an extensive military background was effective or even adequate?

If the constitution allows for a navy, then it allows for Marines as well. I believe I have mentioned that the marines are not and never have been part of the navy in my country.

Thank God for don't ask don't tell....If your nephew is anything like you I am fairly confident he is a tad bit light in the loafers. My grandfather used to say that..."light in the loafers." I hope no queers were harmed in the making of this post. Thank me for I have never and will never serve. I am what makes this Country great. Your very freedoms rest squarely upon the backs of men like myself that found something better to do with their time.

Typically what happens is they send the marines in, every one else drops dead and then the coal miners,gold miners, oil miners, non-obtanium miners and all of the other white shoe asshats go in.
