California Republicans optimistic about their prospects in November could find themselves with a bit of a problem after the votes are counted in Tuesday’s primaries — a statewide ticket with the so-called “Birther Queen” as one of their candidates.

Im starting to feel sorry for the GOP
not much but good gawd, what are they doing to themselves??
ORLY Taitz???
shes like Malkin, Coulter, Palin and Bachman in one body
Stark staring Bonkers
I wanna see her Birth certificate

Check out Sharron Angle running in the GOP Senate primary in Nevada. It could be a very bad day for the Republican party and a very very good day for late night comics.

Secretary of State in CA ? Who cares. This will have nothing to do with national elections in November to determine who controls the House and Senate.

"Ergo proptor hoc." They're grabbing at any straws that present themselves.

All the House seats are up for grabs.

36 out of 100 in the Senate.

Should be an interesting election.

Hiya Lucy,

The constant commercials for the 2 GOP governor's race are driving everyone crazy out here. Meg Whitman vrs Steve Poizner.

They are both former Silicon Valley executives with millions of dollars
to throw at TV advertising. They go back and forth on the airwaves and in general, make everyone across the political spectrum want to tell them to shut the hell up! [sm=fight.gif][sm=beatdeadhorse.gif]

As I recall you seem to care a lot about gubernatorial races when you can point out that the candidate the White House backs did not succeed.

Who cares just comes in when it doesn't fit your agenda.

From the link:

“It’d be a disaster for the Republican party,” says James Lacy, a conservative GOP operative in the state. “Can you imagine if [gubernatorial candidate] Meg Whitman and [candidate for Lt. Gov.] Abel Maldonado — both of whom might have a chance to win in November — had to run with Orly Taitz as secretary of state, who would make her cockamamie issues about Obama’s birth certificate problems at the forefront of her activities?”

Lucylastic -> RE: GOP Bad Dream (6/8/2010 3:29:51 PM)

Hey Ven:)  I don't think I would be watching any TV, it would drive me up the wall,
I wanna take a big MF cricket bat to all of them
Its so damn tacky and ugly

My prediction for November 2010 is: not too many surprises, the incumbents mostly win as usual. People want stability, the time is not (yet) ripe for a radical change. The opposition is disorganized, their credibility can be easily destroyed by effective elections management teams with substantial cash reserves.

The time is never right for a radical change.

The vast majority of people think incumbents in Congress should be kicked out, except they think their incumbent is doing a helluva job.

I appreciate the sentiment but do like viewing the evening news and Law & Order.

Secretary of state is a meaningless position. Governors run the state . A big difference..

thornhappy -> RE: GOP Bad Dream (6/8/2010 7:05:49 PM)

Unless you're in a weak governor state like TX.

A Secretary of State, at least in WI does nothing. They don't even have a vote. That position is a waste of taxpayer money and should be eliminated.

TheHeretic -> RE: GOP Bad Dream (6/8/2010 8:31:09 PM)

Early returns in my state have started coming in, Lucy. Not looking promising for her.

I don't think I'll lose any sleep over what dreams might come, Lucy.

Anybody who is willing to, here's a good results link;
