I don't like too much authority; too much of anything is no good; it's just like eating food, if I eat too much food I get fat. Of course it will. I and others tried to argue this exact point in the "Religion and Critical Thinking" thread a few weeks back. It'll be fun watching this one go to 30+ pages.

Given that science has been advancing for centuries and religion is still chugging along - at what point doyou see science over-powering religion to the extent that religion in its entirety fades away? The atheists believe it has already happened. What is science? More scientists are religious than not. The opinion surprises me. I guess S. Hawkins has not thought much about religion.

A discussion of that poll you'll find in the "Critical Thinking" thread, or you can just spend 5 mins of your time and google it.
