OK, my point was, that it is a frightening concept for me that your opinions are unnecessary for free people.
I also said that I didn't mean that he needed you to support him in arguments with his peers, but instead that I was focused on your arguments with your friends and acquaintances when you are on your own, without him present.

So, if he can control which opinions you will express when you are on your own, this is a little strange for me. Because, in such situation, if you were still his slave, I would have no clue if what you are saying right now is your opinion or you are just propagating his opinions.

Op, you aren't getting it.  The integrity of Men who are Masters is an integrity wherein they don't need a slave to voice opinions that aren't her own to validate him somehow.

As far as my opinions being unnecessary among his peers, well i was a slave, which meant my opinions had their time and place.  It didn't hurt me, it didn't invalidate me, it didn't harm my IQ.  It simply was that my opinions at that time weren't needed.

Some days i chafed at the restriction because i am an opinionated slut lol and like to debate, some days it didn't bother me, some days  it meant i could just LISTEN.

He never told me to give his opinion instead of my own.  So your concept of telling my friends something that wasn't my opinion wasn't a part of my slavery, i was allowed to either voice my opinon or not.  I wasn't ever ordered to voice another's opinion.

Also, i would say that most men who own slaves are like, i also would say that unless a Man is insecure he wouldn't need his slave on boards like this voicing HIS opinion instead of her own.  YOu will see many slaves giving their master's opinion such as my master thinks this or says that.  But i think you are safe in believing the opinions you hear from slaves are their own.

Seriously, you learn the actuality of this when you LIVE it.  Stop trying to figure all of this out vicariously.

OK, I think this is a lot clearer to me now. So, your opinion was unimportant only when you are with him and his peers, while when you are on your own with your friends you are free to express your opinions. If this is the case, this is whole another story from what I thought at first. This now makes sense, and I don't see it unfair.

Maybe that's the problem- you still consider "fairness" to be a fixed external concept when in an M/s dynamic.

It's much more a king/subject one. The king decides what is fair.

I'm not going to answer your main question, as I can see LA has given you lots of links as she often does. I just wanted to point out that not all M/s or D/s relationships involve the partners living together.
