I still get thrown off balance when I see people list in their hard limits things such as amputation and tooth removal. I can understand permanent damage, especially in a TPE situation. I also saw a hard limit of weighing over 105 lbs. But... amputation? Really?

I think death as a hard limit is a ProtectYour Ass clause for the Dom/Domme---sort of a Whoops, I think that was too much voltage affair. On the other hand when you reach my age sometmes your are tempted to say Life is the hard limit. 82 if you are wondering

If I read that I'd just assume the person was trying to be humorous. It's obviously pointless to include it because a killer isn't going to care what your list of limits are. Death as a hard limit is a double edged sword for me. I refuse to die till I am bloody ready Been there done that, have the scares to prove it too and been rejected several times. Death for me only means I've settled all the scores I have yet to settle, made my peace with those I need to and am ready for the positive ascension when I take over heaven and open it up as the Collaring fields with the Angels there to be seduced and hell becomes my ClubMed BDSM.. Perhaps then I sit with my forefathers in the halls of Valhalla. Just my personal view and not every one's cup of tea.

A real-time friend of mine has "snuff play" as a hard limit in his profile on here. When I quizzed him on it because I really HAD thought that went without saying because to me anything intended to bring about the death of your play partner violates both "SAFE" and "SANE" for me. He just laughed and said you never can be too careful.
