*Love* the show. McDreamy just isn't attractive to Me, though. I wouldn't aim for a romp with McDreamy. I see George not as a wimp, but as the kind of young man who would go to the ends of the earth to please his One. I'll take George, and his quiet strength of character, and his adorable looks, any day! Make him about 6'4" and 43-45 years old and I'm all over 'im. TexasMaam

George is still a boy, he hasn't grown into a man but if he does watch out. Unlike McDreamy he has integrity and the ability to care about someone other than himself. In addition, he has a moral compass that he sticks to even when it is hard, which is exactly when most peoples morals seem to fade away. McDreamy is perhaps more handsome but his beauty is truly only skin deep. He can't make up his mind over which woman he wants, he can't act with any integrity and his actions undermine the life of two women he supposedly loves.

This year, there have been comparisons made between George and Meridith's father, Thatch or Thatcher. The father is also portrayed as a wimp. However, as the story line goes on, one could suggest that the actions of both George and the Thatch are acts of self discipline and sacrtifice for the ones they care about so those people are happiest. Their actions could be viewed as strength, much like that of the submissive.

For my part, I present a sort of dichotomy. At work I am certainly assertive. Moreover, I am tall and lift weights for a muscular build. People look at me and just naturally typecast me as a dominant personality. However, I am very different in my personal life where I am certainly much more comfortable with the woman running the show and where I genuinely enjoy surrendering myself to her service.

I understand where you are coming from. The story line does not really touch on that dynamic, they are keeping it more straight forward than that. Another thing I am picking up on is that Meridith's mother Dr. Gray, was a maverick and very dominant personality in her heyday who resented her husband Thatch for being a wimp. What Dr. Gray may not realize is that while she went on to pursue other men whom she viewed as strong, such a man would not be as suitable for her for a long term relationship. She was attracted to them because they were competitive and alpha personalities like herself but she would likely have faced conflicts with such a man because they were so much alike. I wonder if the story line will get into what her life was like after she sent Thatch packing. I, too, was annoyed to see that What about Brian show. Apparently, that was to premier the show and it will be on Mondays regularly. I would hope they have brains enough to put Gray's Anatomy back where it belongs.
