Here following – the only conspiracy theory that makes sense, in that evidence to support it is by its nature difficult to come by, and we might observe it in practice quite readily and repeatedly and it also explains everything quite coherently.

This is the theory that holds that if you want to get anywhere in life, in business or in politics, then you have to have committed a variety of what we might call indiscretions, which could range from minor embarrassing stuff through to a series of felony charges of which you were acquitted only on a technicality.

These indiscretions trigger the attention of the Powers That Be (PTB) such that if you have any potential to make it in life, in business or in politics you will be contacted forthwith and offered assistance to that end, subject to you disclosing in full your indiscretions.

This is the start of the induction process into the PTB. Few refuse recruitment what with the prize on offer – your wildest dreams fulfilled in whatever ambition you might have – and those that do sink out of sight and continue their lowly struggle through life.

This recruitment in this way is vital for the PTB. By recruiting those against whom they hold evidence of indiscretion they are able to ensure that the Powers That Shall Be, (those recruits who, after some years may be elevated to replace a retiring member of the PTB), shall maintain confidential the shadowy dealings of the PTB and enable their continuance, for fear of losing everything in the massive scandal that should ensue should they suddenly develop a conscience, turn on the PTB and find their indiscretions revealed to the world.

How else to explain two Bush presidencies? How else to account for the bizarre and contrary actions of Blair over Iraq? Why else might Obama have won through but now seems to disappoint so badly? Whence the MPs expenses scandal? Why no action to regulate the banks and why the unconditional blank cheques? Why now the need to blame a certain Brit for the oil spill to the exclusion of all others?

BP is behind the over throw of the Shaw of Iran.

Some say the spill was a false flag- but I tend to think if was incompetence. The Jones act- is in the way of letting other countries help.

You wont see real bank reform or an end to the wars. Namely because corporations enjoy massive profits with the status quo.

In other news I got a good price on my truck I sold for parts. YAY.

And then there's that string of US Republicans of late who have been revealed to be not the paladins of family values that party portrays its representatives to be. Did they grow a conscience and get disposed of as a result?

And what of the Democrat ousted at the primary by some guy who walked in off the street by all accounts? What is it that might have prompted his fall from grace I wonder?

There's no such thing as accident I fancy, and coincidence is here quite absent.

The contract to supply the "independent nuclear deterrent" Trident being up for review in 2004 seems to have had a lot to do with that. Blair would probably have had us invade Switzerland if Bush had told him to.
