If this is correct, it won't be long now. Most observers have long opined that other Muslim nations would breathe a sigh of relief if Israel bombed Iranian nuclear facilities. Now it looks like they're making it easy for them. Thank God.

There's only one way the Middle East is going to end up anyway - "stable, moderate" Muslim governments being violently overthrown by fundamentalists supported by radical Islamic states, with Israel as the putative catalyst, and nuclear war between Israel and the radicalized Islamic countries. Not this year, and probably not next year, but 5 years from now? 10? It's just a question of when, not if.

This has always been the Gulf Arab States worst nightmare. An entente of Turkey and Iran signalling to the Arab cultural memory the return of the Ottomans. You better believe the Saudi's, the Egyptians and all the Emirates are scared shitless. The Saudi's see the GREAT BIG GULF WAR that they've always feared coming and they see it coming soon. Hell even the Syrian's are scared shitless by this Turkey thing, because Assad just realized he's in way over his head and that if Turkey were to enter into a war against Israel. The Road from Ankara to Tel Aviv runs right though Syria and once the Turk's are in they'll own Syria and never leave. Well, that and the fact that if the Israeli's decide to start start using the Jericho II's tipped with canned sunshine, they'll probably start by nuking the dogshit out of Syria as a warning to Ankara and Tehran.

I did not say that major war will be avoided. I have no idea when the next conflict will arise. Not during Obama's reign, I expect. Edited to add: Turkey will never attack Israel.

Those who believe in the myth of peaceful Islam used to be able to use Turkey as their example. What's scarier than Iran getting nukes and using them against Israel? Iran getting nukes and getting them to terrorist groups....
