I'm an owned and collared slave, and a graduate student in counseling (to get my license as a Marriage Family Therapist, as we are known in California). I will eventually be a kink friendly therapist but right now I'm just starting to gather data for my thesis research and am looking for people in committed consensual power exchange relationships who would be willing to participate in an anonymous online survey.

I'm studying relationship satisfaction in committed power exchange (PE) relationships of any kind, whether it is D/s, M/s, Owner/property, Gorean's, Owner/pet, so called "Taken In Hand", 1950's style relationships, etc.. They are all PE dynamics.
While the focus of the study is satisfaction I am also interested in issues of control in the relationship.

Everyone and anyone is invited to participate, gay, lesbian, straight, it doesnt matter. The only requirement is that you are in a committed power exchange relationship (preferably of at least 6 months duration). This is an anonymous survey, there is no way for me to identify who said what or who you are.

EXTREMELY confusing survey. I really wanted to help and got all the way to the 60+ question set before giving up. You're use of the word "control" leaves a lot of room for interpretation and I have no idea what you're really asking.

For instance, How often do I exert control over her hair color? Uh, that'd be 100% since she doesn't color her hair daily and I pick the hair dye when it is done. No problem there. But how about hair style? I have NO idea how to answer that question. I am ALWAYS satisfied with her hair style or else I tell her to change it. But I'd say that I only end up telling her that or she ends up asking for input maybe 10% of the time. Honestly, her hair changes "style" maybe 5 times a day... up, down, pinned back, ponytail, etc. By and large she knows what I like. And don't even get me started on "sleeping location". I like her in the bed next to me. But that's also exactly her preference and exactly vanilla. So is that "exercising control" or not?

Overall, I'm completely unclear whether you're trying to get at span of authority, level of micromanagement, or quantity of rituals & protocols in these questions.

Agree. He always has 100% authority to control everything, but most of the time he doesn't have to exert it. Totally wish this study included BDI/MDQ screening. I'll be a kink friendly provider too, but my advisor was not on board with doing my Master's project on that topic. :(

Thanks to those of you who have completed the survey.

To anyone who is confused by the study questions I ask you to think of them in a broad sense. For example, control can be verbalized or implied. My Daddy/Master doesn't have to tell me how to behave every time we are together because I know how he likes me to behave. The control is implied and understood by me.

Any other questions anyone is confused about I ask you to please choose the best fit for you. There are so many facets to power exchange dynamics that there is no way I could ever include every descriptor of each couples relationship.

Again I extend my thanks to all who have chosen to participate and encourage anyone in a committed power exchange relationship to also participate. The data I collect in this study will help all of us!

Not too tough at all, but some of the ratings questions might have been better with an "N/A" instead of just percentages.
