Status: offline 		OOPS!  Apologies to the ladies across the Big Pond.

Fag hags in USA (can't answer for Canada, Australia, NZ, etc.) are women who are friends of gay men.  Why gay men in America are "fags" is not so certain.  Might have to do with British public schools (which are our private schools) having younger boys being ordered to provide cigarettes along with sexual favors.  "Hey, fag, get over here."

The derivation of "hag" is the same in both countries, I'm sure.  In the "fag hag" usage, it's usually sarcastic, but idicative of the fag's lack of interest in the hag for sexual purposes.

So, the question is, "What do the Brits call a woman friend of a gay man?"
