After many, many requests (including two in the last ten minutes) I've decided to open another on-line "member of" list. For the next 3 days, you are allowed to cut-n-paste the following line into your signature block: Charter member: Lance's Fag Hags This offer expires at 10:00 AM Denver Time on Thursday, June 17th, 2010. You MUST leave a post on this thread stating, "I live in <fill-in the blank> and even though I'm not local to Lance, I'm in." I'm in. Some of my best friends are fags, though I hate calling them that, lol. One says he and I are trapped in each other's bodies. I think like a guy and like home decorating, but like men. He is a cross-dressing (think The Birdcage or La Cage aux Folles) woman with a big, sassy, flamboyant attitude, but he digs guys, too. That story is much funnier when he tells it. [:D]

I'm from Fire Island Pines. I think any question of my suitability to be a fag hag should be moot. But I'm definitely not local to Lance.

Now, as to that tiara-thingie..... See, that's why you WANT to be a fag-hag. Lance will help you decide whether or not it is appropriate, and matches your other jewelery and MOST importantly, whether it matches your gown. Think Academy Awards stylist. I'm not going to say you can't wear one, but there are messages sent by ALL tiaras. You don't just slap the dime-store one or your wedding one <bleah> on your head and go grocery shopping in jeans. For that, there ARE appropriate tiaras. You just need to be careful that the tiara matches the message you want to send. And for Christ's sake, if it gets out that you are a Charter member of Lance's Fag Hags and you are seen with an inappropriate tiara by a local gay man, how do you think that reflects on me? As a member of the Fag Hags I think all of us should have a standing invitation to your house. We will stay in your guest room on some very fine and high quality sheets and get scones in the mornings with some good quality coffee. We also should always get design tips too.

Sure..... that's where Otter comes in..... Just who do you think does laundry and bakes the scones? Actually, I bake, but maybe I should've said, "Just who do you think cleans up in the kitchen after I've baked the scones?" Arrgh.... I feel I'm setting myself up for a Redpalooza-style event. But, seriously lushy.... Was I too harsh on LadyHib? I don't want to scare away any of MY fag hags, but on the other hand someof them seem to be a little unfamiliar with the nature of being one.
