A kajira is a Gorean slave girl. There is a great deal of protocol and traditions involved with this type of lifestyle/play and some of it is very distintive and different from your regular D/s stuff. Its not something I'm into so I can't give you much useful information but check out the Gorean forum and I'm sure people there will help. Also a google search will probably turn up lots of info. TheGorean lifestyle is based on books by John Norman so reading a few of those novels may help too.

I was once from the gorean scene as it were so will try to answer it as basically as possible.

A kajira is a type of gorean slave - being a gorean slave, her role is - as simply put as possible - to please her Master and owner. There are different types of slaves in the Gor fiction world, Im not sure if that translates to the RL situations, but for example a kettle slave is different in that their primary role is to serve food and drink. A kajira is most commonly owned by one Master and his "pleasure" slave.

Its a very rudimentary definition, but there ya go :) Hope it helps.

Im not sure what you mean by "what exactly takes place". Are you talking about over the long haul kinda thing or about some specific ceremony or event?

A Gorean slave is owned property. No more .. No less.... Certainly she is cared for and sometimes even loved but she is property.. No safe words no limits (her Master will set limite for her)..She own nothing, not even her name..... She lives to serve and please her Master.

kajira (nfs) = female Gorean slave
kajirae (nfp) = female Gorean slaves
kajirus (nms) = male Gorean slave
kajiri (nmp) = male Gorean slaves

In an ideal world, a Gorean Master is not a sadist, an abuser and, to the best of my knowledge and experience, they're not all that kinky either. One of the Gorean philosophies is that in the natural order (natural way of things ...) men are dominant and women are submissive ... To the degree that women are meant to be owned by men.

Even Free Women were kept under the strict control of the men in their lives ... Their freedom was only secure so long as the men who kept them wanted them to be free.

Anyway, back to the point ... Think of it this way ... If you have pet dog, you own that dog. The dog has no privacy. You chose the name for the dog, you put a collar on its neck, you control it with a leash. The dog eats when you feed it, drinks when you give it water, sleeps on the surfaces that you permit, and when the dog displeases you (ie eats a pair of shoes or messes on the carpet) you punish the dog. When you want entertainment you play with the dog,. When you want companionship, you call the dog to you and spend time with it.

A good dog owner will not beat their dog or make the dog afraid of them. A bad dog owner will neglect and abuse the dog. Sometimes the law steps in and takes the neglected dog away. Sometimes they don't. Now ... Replace dog, with kajira ... And you have a VERY BASIC example of what day to day life can be like between a Gorean Master and his kajira.

Obviously there's more to it ... Most Goreans I know dont have sex with their dogs but they do with their girls. Also, dogs don't generally cook or clean but girls do.The point is, a Gorean kajira is a slave girl who is owned completely by her Master. Her entire point of existence is to be found pleasing in his eyes.

Sound impossible? Well yeah, I think so too. I tried that myself and failed spectacularly ... But thats what it is. Basically ...

You are correct kiska.. We are not sadists although each to his own.. Most Gorean Masters do not play BDSM games either , however some do and even then most of them play in the privacy of their homes. A few play publically because it is their will to do so. It may be said the House Iron Bear is perhaps a typical although somewhat laid back Gorean Home.. I rule, my Wife/Free Companion follows the guide lines I have set and when slaves are in residence, they obey.

Still, I think I'd rather be a dog than a kajira because most dog owners, upon discovering they can no longer or do not wish to keep their dog, will find it a new a home. When a my Masters got sick of me, they just kicked me out on the streets. Besides, dogs get to chase their own tails ... How much does that rock??
