Religion, religion, religion -- when are people going to get tired of this shit? Can you honestly think of a better argument against humanity? Schools are all trashed to hell, but every fucking town has at least 20odd gigantic monuments to various shades of jack-squat-up-high. It's pathetic. The windows are stained from puke-- God's puke at the sight and smell of religion. Another good argument in favor of separation of church and state. The more churches are integrated into everyday life (some neighborhoods don't have decent schools or hospitals that aren't church run) the more you have situations like this one, where people don't really consider that they're getting involved in a religious activity, they just see it as a source of employment. Separation of church and state is, at best, a temporary solution. The hope (maybe even among our sacred founders) is that, one day, people will stop believing in imaginary men in the sky. A bigger problem, maybe, is that oppressive types might just find another organization-head to oppress behind. Although, if society becomes less oppressive, so too will many if not most oppressors.
