They are just discriminated against very harshly when they make that choice. What is happening to women in that area is not a law, it is a religious custom. Granted their choice to not follow it could get them killed, but it is no less a choice. Unchecked religious freedom turns radical. And we have enough problems with radical religions already. I would probably have less problem with this if the school had polled every worker, male and female, about their sexual behavior and then did their firings accordingly.

Fire,shun,reject, shame... That,is what this "school" is teaching it`s students. I don`t care if they have the legal right to harm her,it`s wrong.Period. There`s states in The Union where it`s legal to shoot your dog on a whim(if it`s your property).It`s still wrong.Fuck how legal it is.

If it is part of her contract, then she doesnt have a leg to stand on. Not only that, but i also pointed out links from the EEOC web site showing how others in similar positions won lawsuits. Just because a fact is pointed out doesnt mean someone is for or against something.

The more churches are integrated into everyday life (some neighborhoods don't have decent schools or hospitals that aren't church run) the more you have situations like this one, where people don't really consider that they're getting involved in a religious activity, they just see it as a source of employment.

Separation of church and state is, at best, a temporary solution. The hope (maybe even among our sacred founders) is that, one day, people will stop believing in imaginary men in the sky. A bigger problem, maybe, is that oppressive types might just find another organization-head to oppress behind. Although, if society becomes less oppressive, so too will many if not most oppressors.

Okay, let's make it fair: I think that public schools should not hire teachers with religious backgrounds. What's my 'justification'? Instead of a morality clause, a logicality clause: anyone would honestly believes in an invisible guy in the sky obviously has faulty logic circuits, and isn't qualified to teach. There. It's fair. Oh, and no more funding or tax breaks for churches or religious schools for any reason whatsoever. It's only fair.
