Status: offline 		I want more of this scrutiny. If it is 5 R's to 3 D's and the D's out-number the R's in the House and Senate, is it safe to say that the R's are more corrupt?

Official watchdog is demanding fundraising information from lobbyists on five Republicans and three Democrats. A House ethics office is demanding fundraising information from lobbyists about five Republicans and three Democrats, according to a document obtained by The Hill.

Nope.

1. These are not indictments.  As Campbells office said: “Our office has been approached along with many other House offices for a routine and preliminary review,” Hall said. “We are cooperating fully, and look forward to an expedient and favorable resolution.”

2. There are clear cases of corruption, e.g., Charles Rangel. This request for documents does not address the well-known cases, like Rangel's, but focuses on lawmakers I've never heard of.

That said, Hensarling's response makes me think that he's guilty as hell.
