Personally, I love seeing my sub laughing.  Especially when I'm tickling her mercilessly and she's begging me to stop.

I remember when i was a young married person my ex hubby stepped on a dead wasp and its stinger lodged in the end of his toe. It hurt him sooo badly that he jumped up and down and howled. It hurt so badly it brought him to tears... it musta hit a nerve or something. I don't know why, but his pain brought me to uncontrollable, literally almost rolling on the floor, mirth. Even as I was laughing my ass off at this I felt this complete guilt I found it so damned funny. I could not control my laughter...

I still wonder why I did this, it was highly uncharacteristic of me

I got a bad case of the hiccups last night and my sub spent the evening splitting her sides at my misfortune.  Sadly due to my being indisposed by my abdominal spasms I could do very little with a straight face, but I make a note of it for later.

My question is. How would YOU deal with this situation?

Not.

You laughed because of the stress his suffering caused you; it was an emotional release.

There are few funny jokes. Most jokes cause stress in the listener, which is annulled by laughter.

Is that what it is?....stress?  I laugh at funerals.  When my grandmother died it hit me hard. I mean I was a mess. Then at her funeral I started laughing and couldn't stop. I had to excuse myself from the ceremony. I never understood why I was laughing. I loved her so much and her death was very painful to me. Not sure I ever forgave myself for being so rude at her funeral. I just couldn't control it.

Probably an emotional over reaction to the situation. I have a very strong urge at weddings to object then the minister asks if there are any reason why the couple should get married. Fortunately, thus far I have controlled it.

I know I'm not a Master, but if I were, as soon as I was done hiccuping, I'd grab her by the hair, tickle her mercilessly, and then laugh at her having hiccups.  -Blinks.-  I agree with the responses about stifling her laughter and being herself.

Was she laughing at your hiccups or you being in pain from them + the ab spasms?  There's a big difference.  Also, did she offer any help?

How do you help someone with the hiccups besides offering a glass of water? You hold your breath a few times until they end is my experience.

Now, on the flip side. I had the hiccups last night and he kept talking to me. I should have tickled him because then he would have stopped asking me questions that required I stop holding my breath to answer.

By laughing at my own predicament. I'm capable of that, and if I do something silly, I can't fault my sub for laughing at me.

I asked Daddy today what he would if I laughed AND pointed at him while he was hiccuping uncontrollably. He said he would laugh with me.

I get the giggles quite often, and yes I have had bouts of uncontrolled laughter during slave time. Master loves to hear me laugh and adores my beautiful smile, however when I am to be showing Master what a wonderful slave I am, this is not the time for laughter. My Master keeps composure and gives me a moment to gain mine. If I can't then Master usually puts a clip on my tongue, it's hard to laugh with clips on your mouth. Master knows I laugh at everything, if I can contain that laughter it shows Master the ability to maintain composure for Him and prove dedication. Master and I have plenty of time for laughter at other times.
