It was THE news at work today. Perhaps this is God saying "Next time, get a better designer!" It was just way, way out of scale to the complex. A believer this morning noted that "God took out Jesus, but left the big Hustler Store billboard up right next door!"

As far as the football angle, well... sorry, but Joe Pa could kick Mother Nature's ass. They're about the same age too... [:D] EDIT: To Add... Actually, aren't they married? AND Really? Styrofoam? How did they get away with that even? 6 stories tall? I would figure anything that large would have to be built to code. Not to mention the environmental and possible implications of something that huge made of styrofoam burning up. Do people not take 3 minutes to think ahead anymore? Seriously? Jesus christ... Styrofoam is for test models, anyway. I just have a feeling they are going to rebuild out of something much sturdier, and Touchdown Jesus will become a tourist attraction. Or at least, some people are going fundraise among the fundies for that, whether it ever happens or not.

For the styrofoam folks.... It was a metal armature, plus styrofoam, plus a cladding of fiberglass (epoxy-resin plus fabric). You'd have a hellaciously heavy structure if it was metal (plus wind loading issues). No wonder it burned like gasoline!
