But, it doesn't really..... I read it as "NUMBER 1 OF A KING" where the word "NUMBER" is other side of the ring of letters - not visible to us...... There's a bit of regret in his eyes in the after photo. Maybe, just maybe he's sorry that he signed up for a life-long relationship so very visible.
Would you have the same reaction if (across his forehead, and it were the only ink) it were to say: "I'm owned and this is a very visible, very permanent symbol of ownership"?
I once saw at a local, gay leather bar two hot men - one had "SLAVE" tatooed on the right side of his head. The other "MASTER" on the left. Now what was interesting was that they could both grow out the side hairs and go to their "real jobs." I'm pretty sure they were on vacation, just touring around, showing off the art work.
Of course, nothing like this, I'm just reminded of it, that's all.
