I've been strongly considering trying a switch session with a pro domme in NY. However, being a bit paranoid, I want to make sure I don't run afoul of any laws or regulations. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good resouce on the ins and outs? Thanks in advance.

Since you asked, the very best source of information would be to contact an attorney licensed to practice in New York. They will be fully capable of getting you up to speed on the local laws covering your situation. They can tell what's legal and what ain't as well as instructing you in how to avoid becoming enmeshed in a law enforcement sting, like the kind that happens to craigslist followers all the time. Now, I understand that you might be a bit shy about just calling one up but there is a place you can try. There's a group called the National Coalition For Sexual Freedom you can Google. On their site they have a resource section devoted to Kink Aware Professionals and you will find some attorneys practicing in New York there. I don't have a clue about any of them personally so cannot recommend a specific one to you, but it's at least a place to start. Who knows, one of them might be able to steer you to a Domme that they have visited personally!

The Domme is in much more danger of getting in trouble with the law than you. If she has any wit about her, she'll make sure to not make issues. What is a "switch session"? Are you expecting her to sub to you? That's not a usual request. However, some establishments do have both pro subs and pro Dommes.

I'm usually dominant, but wanted to sub. For me it would be a switch. I didn't think of the other meaning while posting. While I think your answer on the Domme has more to lose makes sense from a logical point of view, I'd rather know for sure on my own than rely on her.
