Hmmmm. NYT says BP's "Profit rose to $6.08 billion from $2.56 billion in the first quarter of last year." Now let's see here. I don't imagine they report their worldwide profits do you ? Is this the total or just what they are paying taxes on in the US ? Only the US branch needs report to the US correct ? Stockholders in the US are holding stock in the US division, or am I mistaken ? Regardless of the answer to that, which I don't know because I don't play the market, even if it is the total, $20 billion ain't shit. It is not going to begin to repair anything, and I mean people's livelyhoods and property values. And this is a shakedown ? That is so fucking ridiculous it amazes even me. For the whole ticket, they better try more like $2 trillion. And I want to know who let them do it, how much they got bribed to let them do it and how they would like some lead in the head. In many places you can't even have a community gathering place in certain areas despite the fact you supposedly own the place. In some places they won't even let you have a bonfire. And they allow this ? And now I suppose all these think tanks are working on stopping the leak, and in all their glory what have they come up with ? Maybe better ideas would come from someone's kitchen table or at a bar. They deserve what they have ? And I'm a Communist for thinking so ? Bullshit. The major problem with government is they handle too many small things, big things like this are their job. Either they don't know their job or they're unwilling to do it. Can the fucking lot of them. What's more throw everything the BP owns in this country into the filth they made in the gulf. Find every yacht, and everything their officers own on US soil or water and sink it all there as well. Then let them sue to get their money back, with jury trials of course. See just how good their PR department is then. And that's just the beginning. T
