More than 90 U.S. banks and thrifts missed making a May 17 payment to the U.S. government under its main bank bailout program, signaling a rising number of lenders are struggling to meet their obligations.

Why am I not surprised ? It's very difficult to pay back your lenders when you are taking outlandish salaries and bonuses and trying to make a profit enough to be a greedy capitalist scum.

Why am I not surprised that the Obama administration has grossly mismanged TARP like it has everything else? Obama and his administration are by far the least experienced group of people in history. Like Joe Biden said during a Democratic primary debate: "He [Obama] does not have the experience or judgment to be President. The President is not a job for on the job training."

I don't know man...mismanagement in a year after 8 years of it...is a real job. Everybody is a rookie when it comes to fixing the problems cause by 8 yrs of the worst economic performance and job creation...EVER in the history of this record keeping.

It would help if they'd loan it to their customers.

I have excellent credit, but they are much tighter than ever before and expect unreasonably higher rates.

I used to borrow for farming expansion. This year, I dipped into savings instead.

But I'd have been a customer if the terms weren't so prohibitive.

But come now you guys, someone will astutely point out that they probably only clear like 3% ROI.

Why arent we doling out foodstamps to these banks?
