Haven't had any junk food since January, and don't miss it in the least.

Unfortunately I have chips or something each day. My boss is a sadist!! She is the size of a peanut and buys snacks for the office each week. It is very difficult to be on a diet (I can't simply stay away from the kitchen, I need coffee, ya know). I do have to say that I managed to quit my McDonalds habit, what a chore that was!!!!

Depends on the day. Usually none. But I do go in trends..sometimes several times a day. Then none for weeks.

My biggest problem is not eating enough food on a daily basis. I know this problem, yet I cannot seem to correct myself of it. So my body takes everything it gets and hoards it.

i don't eat regular meals. i have a crisper in my refrigerator full of veggies, cottage chese, yogurt, non-fat cheese, a few eggs, , cans of tuna, some salmon, whole-grain bread, etc. Dull, you say? Well, yeah! i'm not stupid. i only eat this stuff to improve how i feel physically. and not because of how it tastes! i also exercise regularly, which means running on a treadmill for an hour, bicycling, resistance training on certain machines, sit-ups, Nordic Trac, etc. Do i consider it fun? Absolutely not! Am i young-enough to absorb junk food into my body without it taking it's toll on my health? No! i don't smoke and never have! i only drink alcohol once-and-a-while, and only socially. Boring? Yup! Dull? Absolutely! But i do get a feeling of power, because i have control over what eat, and am able to push myself into exercising regularly and vigorously without too much trouble (it does get easier the more one does this). Without attempting to preach the gospel of fitness and diatary health, i do know that it helps me feel better. The endorphins kick in for about 1/2-hour, then it's back to the same old boredom. But i also have hobbies, and am hopeful about my future; otherwise, i would have killed myself long ago.

Junk food is something i tend not to eat at all.......unless by some stretch of the imagination one wishes to call Godiva junk food. I eat a couple of my beloved chocolates once a day, purely for medicinal purposes.

Ok, now I feel COMPLETELY left out! Does ANYone besides me eat junk food?!

I have a problem with getting myself up and making myself eat. Even more so now that I am in college and eating means having to walk clear across campus. I can be very motivated, alot of times, I simply wait until I am too hungry to take it anymore. And so I usually surround myself with snacks. Cookies, chocolate, etc. I jog and I make sure that I'm not eating a whole box of cookies or anything in a single day, but all I can say is if I wasn't fortunate to be blessed with a fast metabolism, I would probably way twice what I should. As is, I am underweight. But that's what you get from running frantically every day across campus so you don't miss your class, because you're a procrastinator and didn't do your homework until five minutes before hand. :P

i remember when in college, we had something called a "TV Dinner," which consisted of an assortment of food in an aluminum container, with different sections for the verious courses. These dinners were designed to simulate a complete meal. They have similar frozen dinners now, but they are in microwavable plastic trays. The old-style dinners requred the use of an oven. You can buy an assortment of "Healthy Choice" and "Weight Watchers" meals, stick them in the freezer, and take them out when you start getting hungry. Incidentally, the Weight Watcher desserts are very low in calories, but are still very satisfying. They will only take a few minutes to heat up in a microwave oven. And, by the way, if you don't have a microwave oven, i've seen them selling for under $40 at places like KMart and Target stores. As for lunch on the go, take a sandwich and some fruit, and brown-bag it -- something you can eat between classes.

I hardly do any more. But, I don't miss it since I've been able to lose weight, and learned to eat healthier.....*g* The compliments make up for it. When I want a real treat though, I'll indulge on hot cheese flavored popcorn.

Be well,
Irshwlf

I'm still on the Wonder Diet: "Eat people, not food!", so usually no snacks.

I suppose there might have been a few trashy types, but it wouldn't be nice to consider them junk food.

The wonder diet works! Down to my recommended BMI, but my smile is XXL.
