I love Arizona...the Mountains bring me great peace. I come from a small town in Michigan though and am finding that i kinda miss the small town atmosphere. I have been here for a bit now and still can not wrap my head around homes that are decorated for Christmas...and no SNOW! *chucklez*

Wherever Thorns and i are...that's where i am my happiest.

~smilezz~

Considering the fact that i am living in a state of confusion most of the time, i'm either not happy with Government policies, or i rent and watch reruns of "Terminator" and it's many sequels. California sucks...all of the money from your wallet. And when that's all gone, they go after your first-born. But at least they now allow you to pick a number and sit down when in most public buildings...probably because too many folks have passed out while standing in lines, even though i kept telling 'em, "Don't lock 'yur knees when standing at attention." But then, and for decades, i've heard that California will eventually fall into the Pacific Ocean, and become totally under water, making beach-front property in Arizona very valuable!

sweetpleaser -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (9/19/2004 5:47:45 AM)

Frankly, no. I live in Florida and it is hot 9 months out of the year!! Not to mention the hurricanes[:@]. I'm with smilezz on the no snow thing at Christmas as well. I'm kind of stuck here though. I am also from the midwest and miss the small town atmosphere. I miss the seasons. Maybe when I retire I will move to that "perfect" small town. I saw a show the other day that spotlighted Apex, North Caroline. It looked like a nice place, anyone know about it?

I absolutely love Tennessee. The seasons are well spaced. The country here is lovely, though I've never been out of TN...lol. I don't think I could picture myself living elsewhere.

Am I happy with the state I live in? Hell No...

I moved from san antonio, texas to omaha, nebraska in april. I haven't met any good people here, nor a good slave for me. the place is backwards, and I am not adapting well. it rains every weekend like clockwork. I haven't found any good places to meet a slave, and grrr...

I am frustrated and angry. all of my cars, trucks, trailer and RV were damaged in the move. I had over $5000 damages to my furniture, so on and so on....It never gets any better here.

I need a good white female slave for me...to serve and service me.

EStrict -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (9/19/2004 12:07:31 PM)

The state of insanity,,, no I don't really live there...

The state of bliss,,, that one I like :)

The state of confusion,,,, it's just a place I visit

Master would chose WI,, but the cold and rain are too hard on my arthritis. So though I am not thrilled with the heat of Nevada in the summers, I don't really want to live anywhere else.

Laura -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (9/19/2004 12:28:57 PM)

I don't live in a state. I thought along the lines of EStrict when I read the question. I've been visiting the state of confusion lately. Likely I'll bump into you there sometime.

I live in Mississippi whose official motto is the hospitality state, but could be called home of underachievers. The "big" newspaper in the state used to run a daily blurb about famous people from the state, and there are a lot of them. However, I found it telling that they all had to leave here to get famous and none of them moved back (except for Morgan Freeman). I stay angry at the Legislature for wasting their 3 month regular session time and then having numerous "special sessions" to do what they wouldn't do in regular session. All this is at taxpayer expense. But we don't have any money. The school system is underfunded as is every "public service" that the government provides. Yet they all say "no new taxes". Taxes in Mississippi are probably the lowest in the nation. The state has its problems, as do all states. Except for June, July and August, we have some pleasant weather. The summertime, well, it's as hot as the inside of a hat. I've never lived anywhere else and I'll probably die here.

If I chose to live somewhere else, it would be Ashville, NC. It's not as hot in the summertime and I think I could handle the occasional snow in the winter by staying home.

I love WA except Nov.-March when golf turns to mud golf, but at least we can play all year. Where we live we can be in the mountains, desert, or salt water in less than an hour.

I'm originally from upstate NY, along Lake Ontario. Got enough snow to last a lifetime. Now I'm in Ohio. It's a reverse cliche. It's a nice place to live, but you wouldn't want to visit there. [sm=lol.gif]
Actually its very nice. The people are friendly. The house backs up to a park with 180 acres of woods that I don't have to rake. Several deer reside from time to time in my back yard. They're a lot bigger than Bambi.
My company moved me here. The money from my quite modest house in NY translates into a very nice house in Ohio.

I like the four seasons. Upstate New York really had only two.

It's pretty vanilla county here, though. Oh, we have our crop of hypocrites, but there's not the level of action that is available on the east or west coast.

Never would have believed I could say this.....

Ex-NYC er and there was a time I thought anything west of the Hudson River was a wasteland. Have been in SoCal for over 2 years now and you couldn't get me to move back. Of course like most Los Angelino's I now KNOW that anyplace EAST of where the ocean breezes keep the temperature 75 and sunny year round actually IS a wasteland.

State of the union, State of America, state I am in, state of play?

I am happy with the state I am in, I have to be as I cannot change my state without outside assistance, so I exist in a state of waiting for those times of acceleration, which slow dooooowwwwwnnnnnnnn to stopping, and my inertia reasserts itself.

DiamondDiva -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (12/16/2004 2:59:07 PM)

State Yes, State of Mind...Sometimes, State of Affairs ...A lot of Time any other states? The jury is still out on it.

LOL

I live in SC and yes I like it here.

Although the ocassional activities of some of our residents and politicians make a great story for Jon Stewart and his comedic newscasting efforts, it really is a great place to live-- mountains, beaches and beautiful horse country.

dally -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (12/17/2004 8:46:33 AM)

I live in South Florida, have only travelled the east coast, NY, DC DE, PA, and eventhough I love visiting those places the comfort of living here i wouldn't trade, sure we've got hurricanes and are over populated but it's so bright and sunny compared to the gloominess of the other states i've visited....although, NY i really do love and have always planned on moving there some day, but for now, Florida is the state for me.

I'm in PA and yes, I'm happy with it, though I hate the cold. Still, it helps me appreciate summer all the more.

Irshwlf -> RE: Are you happy with the.... (12/25/2004 10:52:26 PM)

LOL....I can relate to that. I grew up in Rochester. Currently I live in Chicago....where we say wait 10 min and the weather will change. One year we had several inches of snow one week and the next it was in the 70's...lol Personally, I would love to live in Seattle. The people are much more laid back and the scenery is beautiful. I can live with the rain...
