It's more the look of disappointment in their eyes.

It gets me right "here"

I would be highly pissed if someone put my pic on their profile without my consent.

....quietly takes down all those nude photos of holly....

Not so fast....havent seen them yet [>:][>:][>:]

However, I do agree that I would judge people accordingly and would also be pissed off if I would find myself that way...

bad enough already to meet folks who were using very outdated or very inaccurate pics of themselves...[8|]

I find other obviously unkinky folks on someone's main pic to be obnoxious. What I really dislike even more is men who cut the face of women out of their profile, or they photoshop them out by cropping. It is not hard to get images of yourself to put on profile, wtf are you using photos from past relationships on a kinky site? It is just plain tacky

Oh the absolute worst ones of those are the ones of them in their wedding photos where they chop out the head of their ex and all you see are a few strands of hair ha ha

LafayetteLady -> RE: Profile photos with other people in them (6/21/2010 5:31:38 AM)

FR-

I've always found people posting other people in their profile pictures here disturbing. The guys who post crotch shots of women and say they are looking strike me as weird.

On vanilla sites, when I see people posting pictures with their kids or all their buddies or something, I wonder what they are thinking. With all the crazy people in the world, you want to post your kid's picture on your profile for a dating site?

On Facebook, all the picture tagging I don't look at the same way. That's friend's posting of friends (presumably). I have a friend who gets tagged in pictures all the time, and sometimes her best friend will post a shot where she doesn't look so great (she actually takes great pictures typically), with something in her teeth or whatever. Then it gets tagged just to mess with her and it's fun.

On this site though, I will avoid those who have other people in their picture and it isn't a couples profile.

wandersalone -> RE: Profile photos with other people in them (6/21/2010 5:39:08 AM)

Yep I definitely feel a little uneasy if I see a single male's profile with photos of naked women on his profile.  It makes me wonder if he has a stash of photos of exes hat he will have no qualms about using forever so I always give those people a wide berth

And yes I have often sent messages to the owners of said profiles and they have not responded to my questions about this.  (actually no I lie, I have been told to ........ be less curious ...... [:D] )  I would love to know the thoughts of other people about this

I think that is the appropriate response to that message. If it is not your profile and/or the photos are not of you it is someone's business but that someone is not you. Do the mods approve every picture that is uploaded or only those used for the main picture? I've never uploaded pics but I know the rules around here have been loosened up a little lately - dunno if that would apply in this case.

As far as I know the mods don't approve any photos now, it is all done automatically.  the only time photos come to their attention are when they are reported (I think)

I don't really wonder if the others consented, I pretty much assume they didn't and judge the person accordingly.

exactly

Yeah, it makes ya wanna email them back..."I will get on my knees and you can call me 'bitch'"[:D]

Vendaval -> RE: Profile photos with other people in them (6/21/2010 3:38:49 PM)

I think it is annoying and inconsiderate all the way around.

LadyPact -> RE: Profile photos with other people in them (6/21/2010 5:33:48 PM)

Since it's all a part of the same discussion, maybe someone can enlighten Me.

I went and took a look at TOS on the subject of photos.  I could have sworn there was a part in there somewhere that read something along the lines of 'only pictures of yourself' and/or ones that you have taken yourself.  It referred to profile pics way back when, but it seems to have been eliminated.  (Somebody tell Me that I'm not going senile.)

Not so long back, I was talking with one of the Mods about pics on the site.  A picture of yourself makes the most sense.  Pictures including those folks who are in a current relationship absolutely make sense.  If that other person is your property, yes, that's your decision.

The minute that person is your ex, they aren't your property anymore.

It's on the profile edit page, right below where you click to upload a photo:

No commercial photos or artwork - Only pictures you took yourself

It also says:

No explicit primary photos

Thank you, because I thought I was going nuts.

Freakgirl4 -> RE: Profile photos with other people in them (6/21/2010 6:02:33 PM)

But I don't think most of the people with **picture issues** even know there is a forum here anyways....

You aren't going senile, I'm certain of it. However, there is a big difference between what you think you read, LP:'only pictures of yourself' and what Wyld reported: Only pictures you took yourself.

If this was my site, I would have a clause saying the only profiles that had picture of more than one person would be for couples profiles. It might not be fair to everyone but I think it could avoid a lot of people putting up pictures of others with them. I would also change the clause saying only pictures of yourself. But this is clearly not my site.

It's actually both.  TOS says that you can put pictures of yourself on your profile.  The part Wyld is bringing up is listed where you actually upload pictures on your profile.

I could live with your solution.  Of course, it would probably result in Me having two separate profiles.  One for Myself and one for the poly family.  Unfortunately, I didn't much care for My brief experience with the period that I switched My profile to a couple's profile.  I got a hideous amount of trash mail.  Far worse than it being listed as a Dominant woman.
