If you are going to automate tasks then you can combine the internet as well.  You write a program so people (who you allow) log onto your website and enter simple commands depending on the situation.  For a wax dripping machine you could choose location and color.  Therefore creating an online community art project.

People could watch all the goings on via web cam.

Well, as soon as I find the right partner, I'm hoping he'll have the where with all to help create all these ideas, that keep running all over my mind, to fruition. I'm not sharing them until their are made, the kinks worked out (and in <wink>). Then I'll have a site up so fast, in order to sell them.

I was thinking more along the lines of a sewing machine, but yes, the wheel coupled with the wand is delish. ;)

Basically there are a couple of answers.
1) Its a craft thing and a few who ave the imagination, skill and tools do do it. Very few of those also have the ability or time to make them in volume and mass production also takes the artisitic motivation out of it. So your left with the profit motive.
2) Profit is limited because ths is really a niche market. You can make a living with the right ideas at the right time and price but its harder then most would think.

That said I intend to make my own line of toys, especially electrical gear someday. But I need a good marketing person and fitting subject.

before my house fire several years ago...everything from the tables...swings...chairs...crosses...floggers...ect..were all made by me....ideas either came from books...or from attending events....believe me...it's very time intensive....therefore everything was for personal use only....( this post is bringing tears to these old eyes....I miss my play room)...anyway...mass producing or crafting special orders would not be cost =labor=value productive unless you have no problem with finances....

but now you have me thinking about that waxer...drip..drip..drip....brain in motion...thank you for the jumpstart

I would love to see the reaction with some of these ideas presented on America's Greatest Inventions or whatever that show is called. I volunteer Celeste to be the subject for their demonstration.

I was thinking more of a machine that you could hook a wheel up to that would run it up and down various body parts to be named later. ;)
