If possible try a different computer.

You said nothing in the way of details, we don't even know if you have a mac or PC.

CM's main page is not all that demanding. I am using IE6 without java or flash and everything works, except for the chatrooms until I go to Sun Microsystems and get the right version of java. But I don't go in the chatrooms so I don't care right now. The point is it really doesn't require alot, systemwise.

And just what does it say when you try ? Unavailable, Cannot be displayed or what ? If this only happens on one PC, try another using the same internet connection if possible. Any number of things could happen. You could have one glitch that happened to damage your CM cookie. Other PCs won't have it.

Some info on how other sites and software in general are behaving might help as well. It could be video drivers if you're stuck in 16 color or something, some sites might be looking for the notice that the page will not display correctly at this color depth, things like that. Which brings us to the question of whether there have been any significant hardware changes ?

All these things matter, the most important of which is exactly when did this problem start happening ? Most PC problems happen after something else happens, like a software update.

For example on this PC I have to figure out why I can't get my email. On the AOL site it hangs trying to download ygm.mp3, which is that annoying guy saying "You've Got Mail". It doesn't happen on my other PC(s). Go figure.

Your problem might be similar, that some anti-spyware or whatever is blocking certain portions of the main page. Something like that.

T
