We have had problems with drain blockage from the kitchen.  No biggie and sorted now but with the overflowing water there was an amount of grease and yuck that flowed over the drains and onto the pavements causing a bit of a sticky mess.
We know we can purchase over the counter cleaner, but want to avoid that if we can and try alternative products that are natural or non corrosive first.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Soap, ammonia----- or lye........is it tar paving or as I suspect bricks?  if tar, not lye.

then strong lye water is ok. and it will do up right proper all the weeds in the cracks as well. And gloves eyeprotection and a broom to scrub it. And you might want to put on foul weather gear knickers and dogs.

Use one of the Orange cleaners.. it will emulsify the grease without penetrating the brick....a very green product...smells good too.

We use a form of this product to clean hardened asphaltic concrete from curb machines and pavers...has more power than you think.

Butch

ps sorry mnottertail...this was for the op
