Goldman Sachs dumped 44% of its shares in BP Oil during the first quarter of 2010 – shares that subsequently lost 36 percent of their value, equating to $96 million. The current chairman of Goldman Sachs is Bilderberg luminary Peter Sutherland, who is also the former chairman of British Petroleum.

Tony Hayward, the CEO of BP,  dumped 1/3 of his stock less then thirty days prior.

Neither of these were profitable transactions.   Coincidence?

When the explosion first happened, I thought it was timely to have occured just days after the President decided to expand off shore drilling.   A message from over zealous opposition to this idea?   Or...just rotten timing?

Were they dumped before or after Sutherland came on board?

I still think that the oil rig was a conspiracy to fuck with the administration
They were convinced he would have a terrorist attack, which didnt happen, they were convinced the economy was going down the tubes, then as it wasnt going that way fast enough they decided on something that couldnt be stopped, they arent going to lose money long term, they just have to bide their time.Cheap at half the price to stop the commies in their tracks they are in charge of the clean up  get to sell their "saved" oil and make enviromentalists stroke and aneurysm at the same time
Has anyone checked where todd palin was just before the explosion?

Yes tongue in cheek, but makes ya go hmm
Just made my tin foil hat into a tin foil beret, very chic...

Im taking the piss, but devastated by the ugliness of the resulting mess, and the  environmental and human costs

He was chairman of GS international in 2000. If he knew about the poor conditions and lack of the ability to respond, once he left BP in 2010, it would make sense to drop the stock.

-- Ok- keep in mind that the big boys can back date any trades.

So it may or may not be a signal they knew something.

I had a passing thought that it might be a conspiracy by radical environmentalists to force the worlds attention towards alternative forms of energy. I know that's far reaching, but you have to admit, now we are all sick of oil. ANY alternatives we can develop and market will be welcome at this point.

Sounds like you are channeling realone[8|] but just for the hell of it, I will ask. Who is behind this conspiracy?

I don't think there was any conspiracy involved in what took place. What took place was poor management and letting the almighty dollar control. BP has a horrible safety record and this is just one more example.
The Bilderberg thing is something different. They are powerful people who, in my opinion, are trying to control the world. I know for some that may sound far out, but I believe it. I believe the Bilderberg and the World Health Organization are working to control world population and eventually control the world. To many things are happening that are not good. And if you look deep enough Bilderberg is always involved.

Backdating trades makes for rude, nasty phone calls from the SEC, believe it or not.  And unpleasant articles in the newspapers.  Just ask folks in Silicon Valley (Apple, anyone? [:D])

Report: Racing exec dies in S&M session
Fox SportsNewsCore PRINT EMAIL RSS ADD THIS Updated Jun 25, 2010 7:46 PM ET
A motor racing executive died reportedly after an extreme S&M session with an infamous Belgian dominatrix and her assistant.

He was identified Friday as Robin Mortimer, the 58-year-old founder of RPM Motorsport, a British touring car team. He was in Belgium for this weekend's International GT Open.

Mistress Lucrezia, 46, and Mistress Juno, 38, were arrested at their villa near Brecht, Belgium, and charged with assault and battery following the death on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities in Antwerp said he may have died after being given nitrous oxide; also known as laughing gas and used as an anesthetic to prolong sadistic sex sessions.

On her website Mistress Lucrezia warns she offers "bondage, humiliation, torture, education and cross-dressing" with sessions lasting between one hour and three days. She is said to be a regular guest of the British S&M scene.

Het Nieuwsblad newspaper reported that Mortimer's family reacted with shock when they were told of the apparent circumstances of his death.

An earlier statement from the family read: "It is understood that Robin died of natural causes in his sleep at a hotel in Belgium while traveling with his team en route to Spa Francorchamps.

"Alex Mortimer, Robin’s British GT Championship-winning son, hopes to compete in the International GT Open taking place at Spa this weekend, June 26-27, alongside Peter Bamford, in honor of his father.

"Robin’s wife Bridget, fondly known as Biddy, and Alex are grateful for the continued messages of condolence and support but respectfully request privacy at this difficult time."
