I have recently heard from a Male Dom friend who has an slave who is heavily into crushing. Problem is that this slave is very turned on by having his Master crush around him, and even on him, insects, slugs, worms and maggotts and even crabs and such. To make it worse, he's hinted even that he has seen others, and would like to try to, have someone step ona lizzard or rat on him, and by now, i am thinking, as anybody sane would, that one thing is bugs and crawlers and another thing is an actual animal, so I want to tell my friend, as he's asked me opinion, to send the guy packing, but I wanted to ask if this might be just a fantasy that he dreams about but shall never make true, because the slave is actually quite the animal lover, which strikes me as weird. What do you all think ?

Lots and lots of people see lizards and rats simply as rodents that should be destroyed. Personally for me it's gross and disgusting. To each their own but if someone was to do that around me I'd probably be vomiting and I'd have to leave.

I'm with the anteater. I won't squash spiders or kill flies - I just can't understand anyone for whom the death of another creature is 'entertainment'....

It really is no different than if he was trying to crush a kitten is it? I am not sure it is seen the same way legally but I don't see it as different.

The only critters I'm into crushing are the occassional housefly and ant that is brave enough to venture into the house; then I'm usualy the crusher - and there isn't a thing kinky about it all. It's about as thrilling as taking out the trash and cleaning the bathroom; in other words, not a bit.

There was a time when I wouldn't harm a fly..Literally. I've since moved to getting rid of pest as I see them but I don't get enjoyment out of it. That would be cruel to the creatures and to me a warning sign of other underlying issues.

I think the pattern would continue to larger animals, and more different species. Even insects, slugs and worms are living beings, and they are animals. This is blatant cruelty to animals. How long before its kittens, puppies, or people? How many bugs and other animals will have to die, to get to that point?

Exactly, to put it blunt and in boldface - this is eroticizing death. i don't care that it's "just a rat/lizard" - he is getting off on the killing. Quite possibly this is just a fantasy and if you really did it, he would feel horrible. It's also quite possible his need for death and killing would only grow. Do you really want to play with that?

Thank you, UniqueRaven. You've expressed my underlying thought, better than I could. And if the dom is the one doing the killing, then they're both getting off on it, and both guilty. And it will likely continue to escalate.

Cruising the adult section of Craigs List a while ago for amusement, I came across an ad from a guy who wanted to pay some woman to wear high heels and crush bugs with her feet while he watched. I admit the money he was offering made me give it a little thought (a couple hundred bucks just to step on some bugs?). But I have a bit of a phobia about bugs to begin with, so it really wasn't something I could do. It certainly was something, however, that my friends and I got a laugh out of. Unique Raven's take on it however, puts an entirely other spin on it beyond it simply being pretty gross.

That bug crushing thing is a really old (ie established in porn) fetish. I think it ties into penis/ball crushing on a subconscious level, but that's just my spin. I don't get it, honestly. Not that I am a fan of pest insects, I smash the fuck out of them, but I don't get off on it.

I'm guilty of killing the random bug, I will admit... I dont like them and if they are in my room... well it’s like any home invasion. Sad thing is I actually feel such bad guilt after killing one, it bothers me for a rather lone while... There for I cannot get my mind around this kink... killing other things to get off just doesn’t make sense to me. I know we are all "your kink is not my kink but that’s ok" around here but I’m afraid I dont see how I, personally, can extend that to killing another living thing for entertainment. If that makes me intolerant, so be it. Sorry. But that is how I feel... That being said, if the crushing thing is escalating to a point where your friend is no longer comfortable, he needs to address that with his partner. If they can't come to an agreement then it is up to them to move on if that is what they feel is what needs to happen.

I do not bother with pests, that is what Orkin is for and before them, my cat loved playing with the cockroaches until it killed it and I knew of another that liked to go after mice. So why get the cats upset by destroying their toys?

From what I have read, this goes with 'gigantasism'. In his mind, he is that animal being crushed and so it is likely the animal would remain small for the fantasy to work. This is where fantasy and reality needs to part ways. The killing of anything for sexual gratification is wrong in my opinion. The guys a feeder and the person feeding him needs to stop.
