somebody contacted Me last night with a pretty nice request to be allowed to begin messaging with Me.
I replied with a basic " you've given Me a lot to think about, I'm crashing now, and will get back to you after I get some sleep."I just woke up, and his very next message was:

"Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I will be deleting this collarme profile as I have decided to pursue a relationship with someone that I am attracted to and with whom I want to share my life with. I wont be pursuing a life of slavery anymore, rather I will fully commit to a relationship with a woman that I will marry and have children with. I wanted to let you know in case you wondered what happened to me. All the best with your search and future. Goodbye."

I'm sure that is the -nicest- exit ever - have y'all ever had really well typed farewells?
Oh, and it just occurred to Me that this might be just a way to change names, but oh well, at least it's done deliberately and no hard feelings if he's actually still out here.

I've never gotten a farewell that nice, no. I rather like it, at least better than those who talk to you for a few weeks, then drop off the face of the earth.

But I'll admit, my first thought on reading that was "He was looking for a D/s relationship yesterday, and is committing to a lifelong relationship with a vanilla woman today? Wow, this guy's flakey as hell." But maybe that's just my reading.

Heehee... That guy must have written to a lot of ladies, 'cause I got the exact same message from someone yesterday!

The first message was something like "I've been living as a SLAVE for 2 years now! But I don't have an owner!" I figured he was some kind of HNG, but I did respond asking him how one could really live as a slave without an owner, and the response I got back was the exact message that you quoted above.

I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you, it was just some wanker fooling around. One of many!

I'm obviously not a Domme, but that is exactly what I thought when I read this. If he was so close to getting married, what was he doing looking for a Domme a few days ago? Sounds suspect to me. But if the OP thought the farewell was sweet, then I guess it worked.

Probably because he found someone in those few days that said those things.

Nope my farewells usually ended along the lines of "you're a shitty sub" or "you're not a real domme". I have managed to keep quite a few friends I have met through the process though, so no farewells in those instances.

Alright, I wondered if someone was copying & pasting, but no worries - I had nothing invested.
Very good to see that other Ladies have gotten that message.
Agreed, dropping off the face of the earth is all too common and even if it's just so they can re-invent themselves here at least it didn't cause ME to wonder one moment longer.
