Will the Queen be shot?

She is coming to the US to give a speech at the UN on "peace" on July 6th.

I find the timing- to be incredulous.  Harm to the queen would be of course perped and an excuse to nuke Iran.  Note that New York- home of UN still has frozen Iran's assets from the hostage crises.

Also note finance reform bill to be signed July 4th.

Also note she is spending alot of time in Canada which she owns a great deal of.

Do you find her peace speech to be odd?  Empire does nothing but war.  Would a foreign government sacrifice the Queen for quest of empire, are you sure?

Please stick to the topic on this thread.

...and yet many prominent people are shot.  It was a shot that started WW1.   Consider too her speech for peace.

Do you see the set up?

I would like to hope that she would be left in peace.  There's nothing wrong with discussing peace.  At all.  Ever.

Though I'm wasting my time I'm sure.....

The OP had me speechless for laughter and then in disbelief. This idea you have of the importance of the Queen is just well, I dont know, daft, pathetic, sad, funny, all at once. The idea that someone might bother to assassinate her (or even try) apart from Prince Charles is daft enough, the idea that this might be an element in some fiendish plot by hidden actors to prompt war is simply insane.

She really isnt that important 'k? She isnt running anything apart from her household and she has no power other than what she's granted; she isnt even getting her raise this year (or the last few years) and here you have her as the mastermind behind plot A whom the mastermind behind plot B wishes to precipitate war over.

Kennedy was shot.

Malcom X was shot

Martin Luther King was shot.

Another Kennedy was shot.

They all wanted peace- just like the Queen wants.

The pope was shot.

Reagan was shot.

Lincoln was shot.

So- do you think the Queen is safe?

Seeing as the only person she hasnt outlasted is Lincoln... I think the chances are so unlikely, however when she stops in for her rent check  and rules for the next 500 years Ill be sure to remind her to wear her bullet proof bloomers and hat.
Shes been a "target" for more than your entire life honey
if it happens it happens, Im sure she is aware of the possibility
Plus if it happens on the US watch, man are you all ever in trouble...seriously in deep doo dooo
And it will all be obamas fault too

Who would want to shoot an 84 year old woman with no real political power who holds a title (and the dressings that come with it) because she was born into the family. And she bears no comparison to the national, political and religious leaders you named.   Its really like asking will Angelina Jolie get shot....I hear she wants peace also.

Not really, there was a lot more involved.

No one wants to shoot the Queen.

She makes asuch a nice landlord Americans are afraid that CHarles might be meaner.

Well, you too! But just had to point out:
How Canada is owned

All physical land in Canada is the property of the Crown, Queen Elisabeth II. There is no provision in the Canada Act, or in the Constitution Act 1982 which amends it, for any Canadian to own any physical land in Canada. All that Canadians may hold, in conformity with medieval and feudal law, is “an interest in an estate in land in fee simple”. Land defined as ‘Crown land’ in Canada, and administered by the Federal Government and the Provinces, is merely land not ‘dedicated’ or assigned in freehold tenure. Freehold is tenure, not ownership. Freehold land is ‘held’ not ‘owned’.

Stick to the topic!!!

Following your drift:  "They" can't "skip" Charles.  Queen shot dead => Charles is King THAT instant!  Whether or not he abdicates before being crowned?  His decision.

Can they do that?

If I were Charles I would gather my knights and revolt.

He could save a lot of time just killing the boys now.

I believe there is some historical precedence for that.

OMG .....a connection between promoting peace and being shot.

Damn, now I'm worried about Oprah  not to mention Maya Angelou.
